• The city of Houston, Texas is raising money to fund a shrine monument to pop superstar Beyoncé Knowles.

CEO of Armdeonce Ventures, (one of the three companies masterminding the project) Marcus Mitchell said,“We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you’ll have a separate nameplate. There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum.” Finally, Beyoncé stans will have a gilded hall unto which they can bring burnt offerings and sacrifices to pay tribute to the most high priestess, our Lady Beysus. Amen. (PopCrush)
• In addition to their new pricing system, J.C. Penney is overhauling the whole shopping experience. The retailer plans to separate their store into little “shops” for each brand they carry. So, if you’re looking for a frock from L’Amour, their newest collaboration with designer Nanette Lepore , you would mosey on over to the L’Amour shop, instead of scouring the entire juniors section for the dress. J.C. Penney’s revamp is a lot more layered than we previously thought. Hopefully, all these changes will yield the results they desire. It would be a shame to go through all this trouble and experience little change in sales or worse– plummeting profits. (Fashionista)
• Halle Berry joins the ranks of celebrities stamping their names on collections they had little to no hand in designing. The actress has teamed up with German retailer Deichmann Shoes to create the ’5th Avenue by Halle Berry‘ collection. The 40-piece capsule features several low-heeled, comfortable looking sandals and wedges, perfect for those mothers on the go. The shoes are certainly ones you could wear down 5th avenue. Whether you would is a different question. (Hello Beautiful)
• Adriana Lima stars in Donna Karan‘s Spring 2012 campaign video, walking through the backstreets and forests of Haiti, the country where Hatians only exist when they’re in drum circles. (Beauty is Diverse)
• Halle Berry isn’t the only celebrity coming out with a shoe line. Wendy Williams will debut the fall 2012 collection for her new venture, Adorn, this week. For months, the talk show host and celebrity gossip goddess has kept this project under wraps, and she is finally opening up about her latest endeavor: “It’s one of the hardest things that I have had to keep from [my audience]. I haven’t had a secret as hard to keep since I was sworn to secrecy about being on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’” Keeping her larger-footed sisters in mind, the line’s size range will go all the way up to 12. Big feet gal, big up yaself! (WWD)
• Amber Rose was spotted out and about with her rapper boyfriend, Wiz Khalifa, sporting a very clean shaven head and a tribal face tattoo that may or may not be real. What do you think? (TMZ)

“Burnt sacrifices”??? “Our lady Beysus”??? Ya’ll got me done out here, lol. Can’t lie though, that does sound sus. But they did a similar thing in Australia with a monument to Kylie Minogue, so hey *shrug*

Whats really good with Amber and that tat?…
January 30, 2012 11:24 am
A statue of Beyonce..really what as she ever done to be remembered in history
January 30, 2012 11:47 am
I really hope the tat on Amber is not real…if it is, she is a hot burning mess and needs to sit down! I’m just saying! Lol
January 30, 2012 11:47 am
I say more power to them for building a monument for Beyonce. People still don’t get how big of a deal it is for her and the state she comes from to be such a huge star. Maybe they will after this…Halle we never see you in wedges so why would be buy them simply because your name is one them? Wendy, this shoe line better not look like cheap Christian Louboutin knockoffs! Amber, I hope and pray that tat isn’t real!
January 30, 2012 11:56 am
Okay that statue of Beyonce is just creepy haha. If they want to raise money give it to a school and have it go to something educational and name it after Beyonce, or maybe fund a dance program or music program in her honer.
Thats the Tyson Tattoo, and of course it’s not real LLS
January 30, 2012 12:13 pm
Big ups to Wendy because I am one of those “gals” – size 12 – and though it’s gotten better in recent years the pickins are still slim.
January 30, 2012 12:15 pm
ohh that tattoo is interesting..a monument…like MLK got a monument…what 40 yrs later…and he heavily impacted our world for generations…but to each its own
January 30, 2012 12:40 pm
“burnt offerings and sacrifices to pay tribute to Queen Bey”? That is so creepy!
I dislike the fact that Hollywood and big name brands/companies are just paying attention to the island of Haiti. What was the point of having the photo shoot being in Haiti? I could go on but I’m going to stop now.

Ignore typos
January 30, 2012 1:08 pm
YAAYYYYY Wendy looks age appropriate! Bey worship? *flatlines*
January 30, 2012 1:18 pm
I am so over all these celebrities stamping their name on things they are not involved with. I am upset that these lines keep doing so well when there is little to nothing of any in valuable material in any of these lines.
January 30, 2012 2:12 pm
Im waiting for her stans to use “MLK has a monument, so why cant Beyonce” as one of their asinine arguments.
Im so over this celebs “designing”. Have multiple seats & leave design to the professionals.
Amber Rose has officially used up about 5 of her last 7 minutes of fame remaining with that tat.
January 30, 2012 2:31 pm
LOL at “Big feet gal, big up yaself!” Good for Wendy! I really hope that Amber’s tat is not real, why would she ruin her money maker like that?
January 30, 2012 5:35 pm
@ addikted2fashion
Why would a Beyoncé stan need to say that? She’s getting a monument because She Is Beyoncé, the most respected and acclaimed artist of this generation. End of.
January 30, 2012 7:56 pm
I can think of much better things these folk can do with there money than build a Beyonce monument. Out priorities are just all screwed up. Sigh!
Hopefully Halle has some cute shoes. I’m not a low heeled gal much more power to her. Wendy and Amber…no comment!
January 30, 2012 8:10 pm
Amber…I’m done with shaved to the skin head. The tat…?I can’t even.
January 30, 2012 8:12 pm
I got it-Amber’s bald head reminds me of that 80′s TV show about those aliens. They had bald heads with wierd spots on them ALIEN NATION, I think-that’s what she reminds me of with her hair shaved off…
January 30, 2012 10:12 pm
What exactly has Beyonce done for the city of Houston that warrants her not a statue, but a MONUMENT (other than being famous)?
This is a serious question.
January 30, 2012 11:19 pm
Finally! the stans can make a pilgrimage to The Beyonce monument in Houston. Thank you God for all your blessings. In Beysus Carter Christ we pray, AMEN!!!!
January 31, 2012 10:17 am
@Erin you’re obviously a stan because the humor in my statement went completely over your head. Chill.
January 31, 2012 12:12 pm
Go away Beyonce
January 31, 2012 7:39 pm
amber face tat looks nice to me.. it suits her and her head shape lol… only she can pull it off
February 1, 2012 11:20 pm
*SIGH* this Beyonce monument just goes to show how much this society worships celebs more than people who actually matter! MLK was one of the leaders who helped end segregation…SEGREGATION!!! and he just got a monument…give MJ one first at least geeze lol.
