Everyone in the industry knows Joan is 27 and should be 28 this year. Rather than lieing about age how about just omitting entirely from the article. The industry love to put age and modeling in the same category; Dont understand why you cant just be a fabulous model. Age not being a factor.

I’m so tired of hearing about Joan’s age. Can’t she be celebrated for her accomplishments in the industry?Always trying to knock down women of color. Why isn’t it an issue when caucasian girls are older than their industry given age, ex. Gisele Bundchen and others. Come on, it gets tiring to hear the same old issue. Who would know her real age, people who’s worked with her in the industry or others who have some type of issue,aka haters and people who cheer for other models and knock others down? I highly doubt she is 27, makeup makes a difference… Why is it okay for veterans to continue modeling instead of passing the baton to new comers who can be role models to others? Why must their be an emphasis on age? Beauty comes in all ages. I guess it’s okay for models to be viewed highly when they have eating disorders but if there is someone who’s not in a specific age category they end up getting hounded.

It look like people are so blind, I have seen Ms. Smalls without make up and she look so young. She is a beautiful and a gorgeous lady. Here is not about age, its about what Ms. Joan can do. There are a lot of haters around.
