Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley both looked FABULOUS strutting down the red carpet at last night’s Peoples Choice Awards. Both ladies worked similar smoky eye and luminous cheek looks. Here’s how to steal it…
1. Apply a satin finish liquid foundation like Black Opal True Color Liquid Foundation to give your skin a smooth base. Apply powder to just the T-zone to keep a satin finish (but if you have oily skin, keep the blot papers on standby).
2. Both ladies seemed to have opted for glowing pink cheeks. Get it with a soft pink blush like the aptly named LORAC Blush in Pink on the cheekbones and then a bronzer like Covergirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer in Brown Bronze (go for Ebony Bronze if you have darker skin) on the hollows of the cheeks. Then apply a cream highlighter like NARS The Multiple in St. Barts to the tops of the cheekbones.
3. Get Tamera’s eye makeup by applying an eyeshadow base like Urban Decay Primer Potion to keep shadow put. Apply a matte eyeshadow 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone to the brow bone area. Then blend a shimmery smoky brown shadow on the lids like NYX Eyeshadow in Sensual. To create depth, apply a matte black shadow like NYX Eyeshadow in Black in the crease and slightly extend into the outer V of the eye. Carefully blend. Apply 2-3 coats of mascara.
For extra flair, apply corner lashes (or grab your favorite full strip lashes and simply cut them or add individual lashes). I personally love Red Cherry Lashes found at beauty supply stores, but Ardell is also a great brand.
4. For Tia’s eye makeup, take a waterproof black eyeliner pencil like Covergirl Liquiline Blast Liner in Blackfire and line both the top and bottom waterline then gently smudge with the edge of a makeup wedge. Take a pencil brush like MAC #219 and sweep your black eyeshadow under the lower lash line. Apply 2-3 coats of mascara and optionally lashes for more drama.
And finally, both ladies opted for glossy pink lips. Get the look with MAC Cultured Lipglass (Tamera) or MAC Lustreglass in Love Nectar (Tia).

They look flawless. Along with Claire, I would recommend NARS sheer matte in Tortuga to anyone. It is a beautiful foundation.

@KBS Tamera has a mole over her left cheek, but then I’m obsessed with watching reruns of “Sister, Sister” so I can spot them in the dark…lol. Now the Olsen twins on the other hand? :/ lol
