Kanye West joined Russell Simmons and other protesters to occupy Wall Street yesterday in a $355 Givenchy Tartan Plaid Shirt:

The long sleeve buttondown plaid shirt has a spread collar, two button sleeves, and a shirttail hem.

Guys, if you want the look without the hefty price tag, get it with these (or simply add a flourish of plaid with this Givenchy scarf):
If only the original will do, get it from Ssense.com.

Psst, ‘Ye I want that Yeezy necklace!
If you’re not sure what Kanye, Russell, and friends are protesting about, read about the Occupy Wall Street Protest for an American Revolution at www.occupwallst.org.

Hell yeah, I’ll splurge, right in H&M for a similar plaid shirt with a red color scheme for $19.90

protesting against Wall St in a 335 dollar plaid shirt? tha’s an oxymoron. If you gonna protest for the Average American where something less exorbitant.

I like Kanye’s style most of the time but this one makes me feel he is trying a little too hard with those beads around his neck. I think Russell demonstrated it this best. He kept it simple which made it look stylish.

Funny… while everyone was out there chanting about being the 99%, I wonder if Kanye and Russ chanted along.
Makes me laugh when I see the rich and famous protesting about the rich and famous… but I digress…..this site is about fashion and good taste….

He can do no wrong.

Ouch…his wardrobe tags were attacked on the news last night! He’s worked hard for his money, let him enjoy it. At least he showed up. Re. events like this protest, it’s not so much what one wears on his/her body, but if that body shows up when they’re needed. There will always be people that have more, but they shouldn’t be made to feel like less because they purchase things that they can actually afford. He’s given back in many ways, let Ye rock his shirt and chains! If he was dressed in something from WalMart, then there would be a nasty article about him trying to be something that he is not. He’ll never win. He’s one of the form 99% that moved up. Be inspired!

*Kanye Shurg* sooo you rap about living the glamourous life and you show up @ OWS among people who have lost their homes, jobs and benefits………..I see why Amber Rose was your arm piece.

I love Kanye. He can enjoy his money how he likes. BUT if you’re at the Occupy Wall Street cause…you might want to just put on a dope white Hanes T..lol But that shirt to him was probably nothing. Lets discuss that gold bracelet he has on…I’m sure that cost way more than the shirt. lol

*is not taking Kanye seriously with a $355 Givenchy Tartan Plaid Shirt*

The rich and famous are speaking out in support of OWS, you dolts. Russell and Kanye are likely supporting increasing taxes for people in higher tax brackets and agreeing that gigantic companies get far too many absurd breaks that allow them an enormous amount of wealth. Hence the location “Wall Street” being in the name of the protest. Also, because Givenchy’s beautiful tartan shirt doesn’t have the logo plastered all over it doesn’t mean it isn’t high quality. See: fake Louis Vuitton bags.
