Pleated separates and flower patterned car coats in confectionery pastels made their way down the runway for Prada’s Spring 2012 collection. The mood was conservative with a dash of sass, with knee length skirts and coats balanced by midriff revealing bandeau tops:

Models with slicked back hair and bobble like earrings carried compact box clutches and teetered atop slingbacks decorated with wing like attachments.

Puckered eyelets in pastel blue, lava red, lemon, and black played on prim tops and A-line skirts:

Flame patterned skirts and tops featured cars leaving blazes of glory in their wake:
While the clothes are (of course) always the draw, the awe-inspiring accessories certainly took the cake. I personally liked the red, pink, and yellow trimmed sunglasses and flame and bow accented heels:
I’ll take two of each, please.
What do you think of the collection?
*The two models of color are Marihenny Rivera Pasible and Jasmine Tookes. Work it ladies!

I love the jewelry, the dress in the first pic, as well as the pink dress with the flames. The shoes, not so much. They look a lil cheap to me and should stay on the runway.

I love the femininity…esp. the first look. I’m not so wild for the bandeaus, though. I’d have to do that one with a coat…completely covering the bandeau @ all times…maybe that’s why. ;)

I love the shoes. For the pass season, I have not seen any creativity or artisty in any shoes in collections. All in all, they were quit boring. Hopefully, other design houses come up with more wow factors with their shoes.

I love the first look.
The shoes are too costumy for my taste

I like the first look and the sunglasses. The shoes are a no no…
September 25, 2011 11:39 am
Were these models made uglier for the catwalk? Because none of them look particularly fetching. MAybe that one brown girl with the red roses earrings ad shades and maybe the other brown girl but other than that… I cannot believe this industry/.. I’m sorry but they must have been looking for a ‘unkempt and post rehab’ look…
