If PETA directed all their abundant reserves of energy and loathing at those exploiting children wouldn’t the world be a better place? It amazes me that people are not bothered by a starving child yet a dead mink or chinchilla is enough to make heads explode.

PETA are getting totally irrelevant. They have stopped doing anything genuinely productive and are just pulling publicity stunts like criticising celebrities and attaching celebrity names to their nude photo campaigns. I’m all for Animal Welfare, but if they redirected their energy to stopping the root cause of these issues rather than the celebrity wearing them, they would be more productive. Let’s face it, Rihanna probably fits into a sample size, so her outfit would likely have been made whether she was purchasing it or not.
