Europe is fantastic. Today I have a day off (woop woop!) and think I’m gonna stroll by the Seine and eat a baguette. But first, Mail Bombs are in order!

Smootches!Weekend Makeup Idea: Plum Eyeshadow
I’m a little geeked that the high temperature tomorrow is 65 with a low of 50 in NYC. Not quite fall weather, but I’ll take it. To celebrate, let’s all wear plum eyeshadow!
What’s great about the deep, vampy hue is that it
looks so much like red winecan define the eyes and give you a smoky look without being harsh. It also happens to be one of those great shades of makeup that looks good on all our brown skin tones.
Wear it alone as a single wash on the lid (never ever extend a dark color like this to the brow bone), use it to smoke out your outer V on an otherwise neutral look, grab an eyeshadow brush and use it as a liner for a pop of color, or pair it with just about any other color from gold to bronze to green to blue and beyond.
When rocking plum eyes, keep the rest of your makeup (blush, lips, etc.) in the plum, pink, peach, and neutral territory.

Show Review: Balmain Spring 2012
Gold, black, white, and denim dominated Olivier Rousteing’s first runway collection for Balmain, with ornate gilded thread cast on bodices of fringe lined jackets and embroidered cocktails.
Though Balmain is typically known for its exceedingly tarty minis, hole ridden t-shirts, and ripped denim shorts (pegged for the party hardy elitist set), Spring 2012 brought a breathe of fresh air with tailored separates, rich fabrics, and clean lines. Rousteing kept the sexiness, but injected an ample dose of glamour.
Denim became luxurious with the addition of gold patchwork and large buckle belts, simple tops were uplifted with studs and embroidery. Balmain pieces typically carry a $10,000 price tag–with these pieces it’s clear what you’re paying for.
Balmain’s party loving customers can still find solace in the art deco strapless frocks and conversation starting jackets.

There is an old proverb, those who don’t know, speak loudly. Those who know, stay silent.” Oh Sidney, you little tease! Does this mean they’ve found a replacement? Will it be Marc Jacobs? Hot! Or Hmm…: Ciara At Barbara Bui’s Spring 2012 Runway Show
Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, and as expected, the celebrities are making their due appearances. Ciara was spotted arriving at Barbara Bui in all black everything, pairing a textured leather top and leggings (undoubtedly to the horror of one Edward Enninful) with black and charcoal booties.
The singer rounded out her look with a slick ponytail, cat-eye liquid liner, silver hoops, and a nice collection of glittery rings.
