Welp. Between Beyoncé being pregnant, me not knowing who a good 85% of the people on the stage were, and Chris Brown flying through the air like Aladdin, the MTV VMAs has a girl all jittery. Like two cups too many of coffee jittery. And don’t even get me started on Hurricane Irene. My one wish for this week is to calm D-O-W-N.

Anyway, let’s get into these looks…

I could not be happier for someone I don’t know personally and have never met (aside from the time when I was this close to her at a concert) and who knows nothing of me, but I’m all about the Bey/Jay baby. ALL ABOUT IT. The soon-to-be 30 year old singer looked stunning on the VMA red carpet. Makeup on point, hair on point, I just—iLIVE! HOT!

OK, Kelly Rowland. I love you and all so I am HOPING this foundation mismatch is some weird lighting thing that only happened to you. Everything else looks so good it would be a shame for the base to be off. I’m also going to pretend that double-sided tape isn’t showing.

Oh, Nicki. I mean, you can’t really critique a Minaj look though, right? That green shadow is pretty. OK, I really have nothing to say here…lol.

I’m not feeling Zoe Saldana‘s makeup here, but it did look gorgeous on TV. Her new movie though is excellent.

Then over at the VH1 Save the Music benefit…

I’m in LOVE with Vanessa Simmons‘ hair. Like, I’ve saved it on my hard drive and the second some cool air hits NYC, I’m getting a blow out and maybe a few tracks to duplicate this. Love how boho yet edgy it looks.

Tolula Adeyemi opted for a straight-hair ‘do. I think maybe if it were slicked back she would have rocked it more. Her skin looks great. Beautiful smile.

Tamar Braxton has some awesome brows and cheekbones. Can’t say I’m in love with her hair hat though since it takes away from the pretty.

And finally Christina Milian looked cute as a button (as usual) with her colorful yet subtle makeup look. I’m also digging her hair color–the touches of auburn and honey blonde on a dark brown base is perfect for a summer-to-fall transitional look. Hot!
