Welllll Bombshells, the secret is out!
Back in early June I was contacted by Essence Magazine to participate in a shoot on fashionistas featuring style mavens June Ambrose, Bevy Smith, DJ Kiss, Tai Beauchamp, and Tracy Reese:
Of course I was SO HAPPY to be included in the all star line up. Humbled and amazed would be understatements.
We shot at Milk Studios under the creative direction of the fabulous Emil Wilbekin and stylistic prowess of Memsor Kamaraké. I did my best to pose and werk in frocks and heels by Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, and Chanel.
Eh voila!
It was a *dream* to work with everyone and I am still stunned I was included! At any rate, please do pick up Essence’s September 2011 issue (before my parents buy every copy). Check us out!

Thanks everyone!! I’m still wondering how a little Georgia girl ended up in the pages of Essence (and with the overwhelming support of you all). Sigh, what a dream. Regarding the lipstick, I have no idea. I’ll have to ask the makeup artist from the shoot (fun fact, she’s also Keri Hilson’s makeup artist). Will let you know, she’s on twitter. xx
