• Since we can’t afford expensive lipstick anymore, Sephora and XpresSpa join forces to create the Nail Studio Art+Lacquer services, offering in-store manicures starting July 25. The nail studios will open in Sephora Times Square and at the Powell Street store in San Francisco. Fabulous as this sounds, something tells me Rosa’s Salon around the corner will probably be just as good, and far less expensive. (Fashionista)
• GQ has named New York City the fifth worst dressed city in the country. HUH? How does the fashion capital of the world make the worst dressed list? GQ cites the men who “walk down the street in unison, shoulder-to-shoulder, outfitted in tacky black ‘Go Out’ button-downs, embroidered denim, and product-inspired conflagrations on their head. These are the men that are sapping one of fashion’s capitals, stride by douchy stride.” Oh, so they’re talking about the bridge and tunnel folks who come to the city on the weekend, get drunk in the club, and shove everyone around like they live there? Good to see that Fatima seems to actually be working in the industry unlike many of the others from the show. I was in Sephora last week and I was surprised to see her face/hair representing Ojon.
