The Fashion Bomb News Breakdown: Behind The Scenes At Givenchy’s Fall 2011 Campaign, NYC Makes Worst Dressed List, and Fatima Siad Models for Saks Fifth Avenue
By The Fashion Bomb Staff

• Check out these behind the scenes photos from Givenchy‘s Fall 2011 campaign shoot. Naomi Campbell‘s roar ain’t nothin’ to play with! Video here:

Since we can’t afford expensive lipstick anymore, Sephora and XpresSpa join forces to create the Nail Studio Art+Lacquer services, offering in-store manicures starting July 25. The nail studios will open in Sephora Times Square and at the Powell Street store in San Francisco. Fabulous as this sounds, something tells me Rosa’s Salon around the corner will probably be just as good, and far less expensive. (Fashionista)

GQ has named New York City the fifth worst dressed city in the country. HUH? How does the fashion capital of the world make the worst dressed list? GQ cites the men who “walk down the street in unison, shoulder-to-shoulder, outfitted in tacky black ‘Go Out’ button-downs, embroidered denim, and product-inspired conflagrations on their head. These are the men that are sapping one of fashion’s capitals, stride by douchy stride.” Oh, so they’re talking about the  bridge and tunnel folks who come to the city on the weekend, get drunk in the club, and shove everyone around like they live there? (NYDN)

• If you weren’t able to see it projected off various buildings on the west side of Manhattan, here’s Alexander Wang’s Fall 2011 campaign video:

• It’s always nice to see America’s Next Top Model contestants getting work. Remember Fatima Siad? She’s one of the “Faces of Summer” for Saks Fifth Avenue! (Beauty is Diverse)

Good to see that Fatima seems to actually be working in the industry unlike many of the others from the show. I was in Sephora last week and I was surprised to see her face/hair representing Ojon.

  2. sun.kissed says:

Fatima is always on the ball. I’ve seen her in quite a few Neiman Marcus and Macy’s catalogs.

  3. EssDot323 says:

    Fatima is stunning in person.

That Worst Dressed list is wonky. I bet a good chunk of those cities would make the Best Dressed list as well.

  4. RHONYC says:

now THAT’S the hair she should rock more often!!! Naomi’s looks ‘fantastisch’ with her hair back. i was starting to forget about her amazing bone structure drowned out by that god-awful banged out wig she constantly wears.

    fuggin’ stunning, man.

my girl Natalia Vodianova never disappoints.
i sweat her size 2 ‘but i got 3 kids’ bod.

    loves it! ;-)

    OMG!

love this look on Naomi! hell, i almost forgot how stunning her cheekbones were. her hair back beats that god-awful, played out wig she constantly wears. ferosh!

Natalia Vodianova is a 4ever fave. i sweat her size 2, but-i-got-3-kids bod.

    loves it! ;-)
