For her resort collection this year, Diane Von Furstenberg brings us updated versions of all of our favorite summer trends.
Neons and neutrals, colorblocking, and bold prints, come together in a swingy, oversized sportswear collection with an urban twist. One could almost describe some of the pieces as athletic with graphic and neon bike shorts peeking out from underneath sporty suits.
The aesthetic of this collection certainly matches the feel of the season. All the pieces are loose, comfy, and relaxed– which is exactly how you want to be on vacation. I’m completely in love with that green printed dress, and the coral leather skirt and gray oversized tee. Diane Von Furstenberg said the collection has a ”hip-hop feeling with a romantic edginess,” but I think that hip-hop inspiration is quite loosely translated. Still looks hot though! What do you think? Do you see hip hop in this?

i can totally see the hip-hop influence! the graphic prints are an obvious nod to graffiti and some of the black and white prints remind me of the “cement” detail on Jordans. In fact all the fits remind me of sneakers; dunks, jordans, air maxes are all hip-hop staples. The bright flashy colors; loud like how we like our music. The athletic details and flourishes cinch it for me.
