Last night was a late one, so while waiting on performances, I snapped a few fashionable subjects:
First up was Rye Rye, MIA’s 20-year-old protegée. I was loving her African inspired corset top, shorts, and funky boots. The real flourishes were in small details like her necklace fashioned out of square pieces of plexi material and her two toned hairstyle.
I ran into Fashion Bomb reader Sherrin of www.missriot.com. She brought it with the neon bandeau top on Day 1, and knocked it out the park again on Day 3 in a cropped top and American Apparel tutu skirt. The feather earrings were a nice touch.
Earlier in the day, I snapped these California guys, who work for the t-shirt line God Kids (www.doiop.com/godkids). Their looks were sidenotes to their glorious hair–afro on the left, dread style on the right. And the t-shirts are pretty dope!
So that does it!

Rye Rye is SO energetic! I’ve been to an M.I.A. concert she opened and I was blown away by how much energy she has! And she’s always smiling! pretty girl ;-)

Rye Rye’s look suits her and ONLY her she is fun, loud, crazy so i don’t think anybody can pull this one off but her.

No ones really doing it for me. The first girl it was a nice try but just too too much going on something needs to give. And the 2nd girl her earrings are just throwing me off. As for the guys not my taste for men style but at least they look like they are having fun.

rye rye’s outfit doesn’t look right. it looks disjointed and everything clashes. i like the sherrin’s all white look. it’s figure flattering and compliments her skin. the two guys-ehhh.
