Sure the weather might not be spring perfect, but that doesn’t mean your wardrobe can’t be!
Bring in a bit of color while still staying covered up with a bold jacket and equally vibrant pants. Stylist June Ambrose knows the score:

@Claire
Hey would you guys mind putting up a post on how to tie different types of turbans because I love love love love Ms. Ambrose’s turban (and the outfit in general) and I would really like to work the turban into my wardrobe (esp with baby [6mnth old] locs that need a break from the elements…)
Hope you guys consider it and love the post!

I got a really cute bright orange trench coat from H&M half off for 20 bucks but never wore it, after this post I think I’ll have the guts to wear it soon!

@Cheri V that’s a great idea. Been meaning to do more video! After Coachella it will definitely be a priority. Maybe Ms. Ambrose could even help us with our how-to?
And @sun.kissed I do too! As soon as I saw this picture, I was like…I have to blog about this!
Hope y’all do it up with some color this wknd. xx

Loves! This is such a beautiful pic of Ms. Ambrose. I bought a vintage bright magenta blazer for $3 so ladies hit up your local vintage/consignment/thrift store for bright pieces to add to your collection. I’m an underpaid environmental scientist soooo I need to explore all my options *le sigh* lol

i can’t wait to incoporate some bright colors for spring. i hope it warms up soon. and i think june looks ridiculous with those huge glasses and turban obstructing her face, but i generally don’t like the way she dresses.

why she always look like that…UGH! she needs to stop.

Colors are so in this spring. I really want to start experimenting with color blocking. I must say tho I find it funny how something that was a major fashion faux pas, is now considered a trend. Oh dear fashion! lol

LOVE THE COLOR! you rock!

The turban is fashionable and functional (for bad hair days)

Esme. Your comment is wack. Obviously you don’t have any fashion style June styles herself fabulously, eyeglasses down to the shoes, the color block is on point. You need to incorporate some of that into your plain and nonchallenging look and stop criticizing people who have a great fashion sense and style,.
