While making my New York Fashion Week rounds, I made my way backstage to Chris Benz to check out the beauty looks before his Fall 2011 presentation. The folks at Lancome and Clarisonic were on hand to make sure the model’s faces were picture perfect for the runway.

I first stopped to chat with celebrity esthetician Eileen Harcourt who used Lancome products and Clarisonic tools to prep the model’s skin.

I hadn’t intended to make a video (was using my video as a voice recorder at first) so bare with the odd angle. The info is what’s golden. P.S. How gorge is the model’s skin at the end of the video?

Then I hightailed it over to the makeup area.

I got pics of two finished looks. One for blondes…

and one for brunettes…

And then I decided for sure I wanted video, so I got a quick interview with Daniel Martin, head makeup artist for Lancome. How cute is he? Plus he tells you how you can get the look at home.

Before I left, I got to catch up with old pals like Beauty Logic Blog and met Youtube guru Petrilude. His skin is F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S! It looks great on his videos but seeing it in person is like O-M-G! *hangs pictures of his skin on my wall*

Then I saw his nails and had to take a pic:

For the rest of Fashion Week, I’ll be in the audience watching shows so unless I get a last minute email, this is my last backstage story for the season (I missed Lela Rose on Sunday thanks to the MTA and train service disruptions *sigh*).
