Somehow Rachel Roy manages to juggle it all. In addition to her wildly popular Rachel Roy and Rachel Rachel Roy lines, the mom is also a regular on the social and charity scene. Her Fall 2011 line reflected the life of a busy career woman, who similarly needs to stylishly transition from day to night with ease by layering and subtracting a key element when they clock out.

A chunky belted office perfect cardigan could be taken off to reveal an alluring printed navy and cream silk dress; an ultramarine velvet blazer could stay or go to expose a blue, orange, and pink flecked frock.

And of course Roy had a few of her typical silhouettes—a Persian blue knee length long sleeve dress, for example—that would work for both a corporate meeting and cocktail hour. Roy also provided a few new interesting outlines for the weekend, pairing drop crotch trousers with hoodies, and placing fringed turtleneck ponchos with striped harem trousers and chunky boots.
