Christian Dior has suspended creative director John Galliano after he was arrested and accused of using anti-Semetic slurs in a café dispute on Thursday night:

This development comes at the heels of Paris Fashion Week, where Galliano is scheduled to present Dior’s Fall/Winter 2011-2012 collection, as well as the newest looks from his eponymous line. According to several reports a couple in a restaurant accused Galliano of being Anti-Semitic, and he had a few choice words to say to them. He was apparently very drunk.

Drunk minds never lie. The liquor made his true feeling known

A couple in a restaurant ACCUSED John Galliano. The reports could be false, the couple could be lying, the remarks, if made, could’ve been misconstrued/taken out of context. Even though the company suspended him, they wouldn’t be the first to run preemptive damage control before, or even if, all the facts were known and exonerated Mr. Galliano.

Its funny that in spite of conflicting reports and so many versions of the story, its been decided that he is guilty and everyone hates him. Don’t judge so quickly. Wait until some official word has come out folks.

That I looked for this news story in the U.S. is funny.
Well….I never understood this mis-matched marriage to begin with. I think it was godsend for Dior.

If reports sd he used the n-word i think the ppl would agree to his suspension and auto assume guilt. Who knows?!
February 25, 2011 2:53 pm
@BOOBOO I’m not auto-assuming not because of the group he may or may not have insulted. Its more so because the story changes from report to report. The lack of consistency is kind of fishy. Obviously he said/did something that was shameful but the reports cant seem to agree as to what that is. So I can’t scream “fire him, that evil douche!” based on speculation.

I can see why they suspended him very fast since Paris Fashion Week is up next hopefully the real details of what took place and if he is guilty or not will come out soon.

i agree that all the facts may not be known but i am glad that at least in europe there are legal repercussions for hate speech. i wish it were that way in the u.s. i’m also glad dior made it known that they won’t condone hate speech either. if it’s not true he’ll probably be reinstated.

dannnnnnnng.. seriously? no one even knows the full facts. But i guess.

Whatever happened, it was bad enough that Dior suspended him. Depending on the out come of the investigation, is what will determine if he gets his job back. Whether the reports are false or the couple is lying, John had him self in that situation.

The truth will come out eventually. I will hold my tongue till then. I wonder whats going to happen with the show though

There is video online now that supports the accusations. John is a goner!
February 28, 2011 4:59 pm
wait tll you see the video/ Can’t imagine anyone would hire him.Said hilter would have gassed thier parents. It was horrible, doesn’t matter how drunk he was.

@thenon -that video was from another incident. I don’t condone what he said on camera but he’s not the first to do so, mea culpa and keep his job. Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, several musicians countless others w/xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, weight-related rants.
