Holiday 2010 Style Inspiration: New Year’s Eve on a Budget

Hey Guys!
Hope you had a fab-u-lous Christmas. I had a great time with my family and friends–now I’m trying to stay warm with all this snow!
At any rate, Lord knows I love doing Style Inspirations, though items displayed tend to be on the pricey side. Reader Kandy loved our most recent Style Inspiration and said, “I love ALLLLL the items on this look…and I promise I’m not being negative or anything. But why don’t you try every now and then to use items that aren’t as pricey…I know not everyone’s on a budget.. But some of the items you put on there are not affordable for the average young woman…. *please don’t take offense*.. I’m just saying….”
I hear you! Every Style Inspiration offers alternatives for less, but sometimes you want the look exactly as displayed. I put together the following New Years Eve Style Inspiration–the most expensive wardrobe item is $120:

We have $100 pumps, $40 earrings, a $64 faux fur cropped jacket, and a $120 gold grecian style dress:

More Arden B…

If you want to splurge you can do so with a $150 fragrance…but that is totally optional.

Beauty News: Rihanna’s First Fragrance Reb’l Fleur at Macy’s Now

Maybe Rihanna felt like she was the only girl in the world without her own fragrance, but now she won’t be. Her first scent Reb’l Fleur hit the shelves at Macy’s for fragrance lovers and Rihanna stans alike.

According to Bella Sugar, “the scent itself is a fruity chypre with notes of tuberose, violet, hibiscus, and coconut water — a nod to Rihanna’s childhood in Barbados“.

I hoped for somethng woodsy, but fruity will do.

No word yet on the price or which retailers will be stocking Reb’l Fleur, but we’ll keep you posted the second we hear.

But for now, who is thinking about checking out this fragrance? *UPDATE* The fragrance actually hit Macy’s already! Check out my review here.

MAC Cosmetics’ Cham Pale Collection

Ladies, right after Christmas, you’ll have a new MAC Collection to look forward to! The name is Cham Pale, a series of golden bronzy colors reminiscent of New Years champagne:

The new series will have paint pots, eyeshadows, lip colors, and lacquers with names like Chilled on Ice, Let me Pop, and Brule. It will also feature a soothing facial moisturizer that relieves visible redness, SPF 15 lip conditioner, and M∙A∙C Fix.

The collection will be on counters and maccosmetics.com starting December 26, 2010 through mid February, 2011.

Best of 2010 : Final Results

The votes have been cast, and we have winners in each category!
So….for the fourth time in Fashion Bomb history, Rihanna has won the title of Fashionista of the Year! Our Caribbean pop princess also managed to edge out Nia Long by 1% of the vote to take home the title of Beauty Diva of the Year. Kanye West ganked the Most Fashionable Man title for the second time around, stomping his closest competitor, Pharrell, by more than 20% of your votes. And in probably our most heated competition, Lily from Vancouver secured the title of Fashion Bombshell of the Year, enjoying 26% of a record 1,200 votes. Charod from Florida won Bomber of the Year in a landslide, and stunning Sessilee Lopez took the prize for Model of the Year:
