Happy New Year’s Eve!
What are you guys doing for the big day?
As you know, I participated in a Tequila Party Bus last night. Though that was enough fun for a week, I’ve gotta motivate to one of the many parties popping tonight. I’m not 100% what I’m doing….but while I contemplate, I figured I’d solve a handful of Mail Bombs for you guys.
Let’s go!
First up Janeene said, “I was surfing your blog on the late night tip and came across a picture of Kim Kardashian.”

” I like the top she is wearing. If you could find it or some similar items, I would appreciate it.”
A quick search found Kim was wearing a $319 Torn by Ronny Kobo Bianca Convex Stud Top in Black:

Of course everything Kim touches flies off the shelves in seconds–the top is sold out. Get a similar look with these:
Next up is Kimone , who said, “Can you ID the top Cassie is wearing please??”

According to new reader Latina, Cassie is wearing an $84 3-D jumper from American Apparel:
Get yours here.
Several of you, including Belle, frequent Media Takeout (why??), and sent in these pics of Eva Marcille partying with friends:

Alix said, “Do you know what dress/shoes Eva is wearing?”
Though Eva’s dress looks somewhat similar to a Dimepiece Designs dress Amber Rose wore not too long ago, I couldn’t find it on the brand’s website. Thankfully, you can find many similar alternatives (though none are quite as scandalous as Ms. Eva’s!). Check it:
According to reader Jenny, Eva is wearing a pair of $590 Casadei triple platform pumps. Get them here.
And lastly, in another Media Takeout Mail Bomb (again, why??), Stacey said, “Saw this pic of Solange and wanted to see if you can help in finding her sweater or something similar…”

“I love it, LOL!”
Solange was wearing this $100 Runway Fringe Cardigan by Rebecca Taylor:

The cardigan is unfortunately sold out (I know!). You can either patrol Ebay or make the following looks work:
That does it for today! I have some errands to run and decisions to make!
At any rate, thanks so much for your support, comments, and love in 2010. Have a fabulous New Year’s Eve. See you in 2011!
Smootches!
*Thanks to Latina and Jenny for the tips!
There may never be a more appropriate time to be both a grown-up and wear glitter at the same time, so why not break it out tonight for your New Year’s Eve festivities?
To rock glitter right, think subtle not disco ball. Try and keep the glitter confined to just one place and avoid using anything shimmery on any other part of your face or body.

How to…
Eyes.

Use an eye-safe glittery eyeshadow powder like Make Up For Ever Diamond Powder or Make Up For Ever Star Powder. A little goes a very long way so you only need a dab along with either a mixing medium (available at MAC Pro), glycerin (available at your local drugstore), or an eyeshadow base like Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream. Be sure to dust off any excess product from your eyeshadow brush (or finger) to avoid fallout on the under eye area.
You can wear the glittery eyeshadow powder on its own or on top of your regular eyeshadow.
Want less glitter on the lids? Try applying a glitter liner in pencil form like Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyeshadow Pencil in Bourbon, Dime, Gunmetal, or Oil Slick, MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Buried Treasure. Or try a liquid like Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner.
Or try false lashes with glitter like Sephora Collection Lashes in Glitter.
Lips.
![securedownload[1]](http://fashionbombdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/securedownload1.jpg)
Add some bling to your pout! Do your lips like you normally would but add a layer of a glittery gloss like Bobbi Brown Glitter Lip Gloss on top. For a more subtle look, just add the glittery gloss to the center of the lips.
Hair.

If you don’t mind having glitter in your hair for a few extra days (or plan on washing your hair on New Year’s Day), then spray some glitter on you rmane. Since many sprays can be drying on Black hair, this is a one-off situation. Try Sephora Collection Glitter Spray.
Body.

If you want to highlight areas of your body with glitter, try a spray like the Sephora Glitter Spray mentioned above or try a powder like MAC Glitter (keep this away from the eyes).
Tools of the Trade:
Whatever you decide to do, have a happy and safe New Year!
Hey Guys!
So if you follow me on Twitter, you’d know I participated in a ‘Tequila Party Bus’ tonight. Sound crazy? It is!
Basically, you pay about $50, and you and about 40 friends get to party on a revamped school bus that drives throughout New York City. You get an open bar and unlimited tunes from 8pm-midnight–you just have to hold on!! A lot of my friends are going out of town for New Year’s Eve, so we took the chance to celebrate before people went their separate ways.
At the end of the night I hopped on the train, and had to stop these young ladies and ask for their photo:
When Naomi, Carol, and Renee walked down the train platform I couldn’t help but notice their fearless color combinations and fun accessories. Leopard, faux fur, and bright hues–they had it all.
After chatting, I found out they were from Liverpool, England. Not one of them had a designer thread on. Everything they wore was vintage, created, or borrowed. Naomi (left) admitted a predilection for scarves, witnessed by the fun silk numbers wrapped around her head and neck. Carol (middle) said most of her items were thrifted, and that she dyed her hair for dramatic effect. And Renee was loving her new hot pink coat, which she said she picked for its pillow collar. If you want to know how to stand out with winter attire, take notes. Naomi’s muff (fashioned for her by her mother)? I die.
I loved their style.
What do you think of our last Real Style installment of 2010?

Hey Guys!
Tomorrow at midnight we’ll be waving goodbye to 2010, and saying hello to 2011! So much happened in this past year…I moved home from Paris, covered fashion weeks, and even tried a little on camera work. I’m setting my sights high for the new year…

….but before I dip into my resolutions, I have to take a look back at my goals for 2010.
They were to:
1. Take more fashion risks.

This year I stepped further away from J.Crew and cable knits, and moved confidently towards more prints, sparkles, and faux fur. I also indulged in trends like leopard, wedges, and bright lipsticks.

I made a conscious effort to experiment more with my makeup and rock out with poppin red, cherry glosses, and vampy hues.
2. Switch up my hairstyle.

2010 saw me sporting faux hawks, bumps, curls, and updos. In the end I realized I was too lazy for all that, so rounded out the year with an asymmetric short cut.
It works!
3. Get my travel on.
My frequent flyer status caused tons of confusion, and half the year I’m sure you guys didn’t know where in the world I was! From Atlanta to New York to Paris, I kept busy. This year I definitely want to travel more internationally, and even make a return trip to Asia.
4. Continue to expand The Fashion Bomb.
This year we debuted a new header, streamlined design, and implemented easier navigation. Thanks to you guys and your input, we’ve enjoyed one of our biggest years to date! Let’s hope things continue on the up and up!
That does it for 2010! For 2011, my main goals are to:
1. Wear more accessories.

This year I’m really going to fight my conservative tendencies and be more adventurous with jewelry. Cascading necklaces, cocktail rings, chandelier earrings–I’m there. The bigger the better.

2. Out with the old, in with the new.

This fall was the first time I sold my old bags and baubles on Ebay and used the proceeds to invest in new items. I’m traditionally a ‘more is more’ type fashionista, with a closet brimming over with items from years past (a lot being things I don’t wear). The new year will be all about minimizing and focusing on a few key pieces. It’s also about continuing to invest in my wardrobe–besides investment pieces retain value and demand high bids once I’m over them.
3. Attend more international fashion weeks.

I’ve been to London, Paris, and New York. It’s high time to see what Milan, Japan, and Africa have to offer!
4. Bring back Fashion Bomb TV!
Back in 2008 I tried my hand at shooting a bit of Real Style on camera, but when I moved to Paris the concept fell by the wayside. It’s not that Paris didn’t have great style–the language barrier would have made it difficult to bring the interview to life.
Now that I’m back in New York, it’s on! Hopefully we can create more professional videos and make the site more interactive. And I hope to share more of my life with you guys:)
At any rate, that does it for me!
What are some of your New Year’s Fashion Resolutions?
Rihanna recently dined with Simon Cowell and Topshop founder Philip Green, fueling rumors that perhaps our favorite fashionista could be coming out with a Topshop line of her own:

Topshop has collaborated with style icons like Kate Moss in the past, and Rihanna’s sartorial predilections would definitely be a good fit for the fast fashion brand. Rumors about a Rihanna clothing line have been swirling since 2008 when she told WWD, ” “I can’t say when [my line] will be released, but it’s definitely going to happen.” Any minute now, Rih.
Would you buy items from a Rihanna designed Topshop line?

I feel like it was just yesterday that I typed out my 2010 Beauty Resolutions. Where did 2010 go exactly? It just felt like a whirlwind of lipstick, hair, and shoes. *shrugs*
Before I get into what I resolve for 2011, let’s see if I kept up with my resolutions from last year.
*Grow long, thick Oprah hair. While I did very well with growing my hair longer, I decided to 86 the relaxer back in July and haven’t did a length check since. I do recall being amazed at how long a section of my hair was when celeb stylist Gabrielle Corney flat ironed it after installing my current weave. What length is it now? Who knows. And I may not know for a while as I don’t plan on straightening my hair for quite some time. It’ll grow and do its own thing.
*Get the hands of a pampered house wife. Man, my hands were TOW in 2009. Like at any given moment they would look like I was boxing rocks. I’d always do my makeup all pretty, but my hands? They were sadly neglected. *smh* But in 2010 I did keep up with my manicures and tried several longer lasting techniques like OPI Axxium and CND Shellac. Then I decided a regular mani with a top coat like Sally Hansen Mega Shine Extended Wear Top Coat would be my go-to since the polish would last five days without chipping.
Um, just don’t look at my hands at this very moment. I’m in between manicures. :x
1. Get more sleep. The body is a super smart machine. When you go to sleep at night so many things happen to make your body better. Namely your skin goes through its own repair process. Do your body wrong and not give it the proper amount of rest it needs and it can respond by doing things like storing fat in your belly. Let this happen too many times and next thing you know your favorite jeans don’t fit.
I know all too well the effects of not getting enough sleep. My somewhat flat belly will get all puffy and my day is ruined due to the discomfort. Plus a girl’s got to take FULL advantage of all that skin repair (while slathered in night creme) that occurs while she slumbers so she can possibly still get carded in her 40s. They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing!
I may also stop scheduling my workouts so close to bedtime. That combined with a proper diet and there might be something to the Sleep Diet.
2. Get ready for the versatility and increased style that comes with having natural hair. My current weave is cool and all, but I cannot wait to bring on the kinks! I have not been able to keep my hands out of my kitchen area underneath my weave because the texture of the hair there feels so cool. I’ve sat countless hours in front of the mirror just imagining all the different styles I’ll wear (omg—and all the hair accessories *gasp* and the lipsticks!).
I. CAN. NOT. WAIT!
And that’s that. I had contemplated resolving to buy less makeup in 2011, but who are we kidding? The counters already have the spring collections out and I’ve already started making lists and stashing away some coins. I can always cut away at the cable and cell phone bill.
Do you have any beauty resolutions? If so, share them in the comments :)

Hey Fashion Bombers and Bombshells! Vuitton here with the scoop on who took it up a notch this week in the style game. We caught a few celebs (“a few” since most of them are probably in hiding gearing up for New Years celebrations) about town in their designer duds looking oh so chic!

Let’s take a look see!

My faves this week are Kanye because of that jacket that needs to magically appear in my wardrobe, and Meagan Good. I love the play on textures and colors. I wouldn’t pair tan suede boots with a black leather jacket, but she makes it work here.
Who did it for you this week?
