Vuitton here with the scoop on a few of our favorite celebs who showed and proved to us that they’ve still got it, while others should’ve gone back to the drawing board. Some kept it cool and casual while others opted for suits and glamorous gowns. Let’s take a look!
Amerie and her platinum blond locks performed at the 2010 Picture of Strength event in Chicago this weekend…
I’m not mad at her outfit in the least. I love the blazer and fitted jumpsuit belted at the waist. But hmm…the hair is wearing me thin. Not so much the color, but the style of it. I feel a color that bold needs a bold style too. Perhaps a la Uma Thurman in “Pulp Fiction”.
Kim Kardashian was spotted on the orange carpet at the Miami Dolphins vs the New York Jets season opener…
I love everything about the outfit. The strong shouldered blazer, the thigh high boots and the necklace all work for me here. Hot! But I wish she’d change it up a bit. It seems Kim always reaches for a blazer when she’s going for something casual.
Kid Cudi was mellowing out backstage before his performance at the Details at Midnight event…
It’s pretty obvious that the Kid has a great sense of style. Totally diggin’ the leather jacket and vintage tee. And of course, you have to include the Chuck’s. Dope! Now…if only we could put a trimmer to that beard of his.
Eva Longoria-Parker headed up north to Toronto to promote her new perfume “Eva”…
Eva looks nice and all, but hmm…shouldn’t one be dressed a little more sexy if promoting a fragrance? I feel like she’s going to a PTA gala here. A low neckline does some good every once in a while.
Another Eva…Mendes, that is, took to the red carpet at the PETA 30th Anniversary Gala…
And I swear, the woman looks more beautiful everytime I see her. She looks red hot here despite the simplicity of her dress. The silhouette skims her frame perfectly, and her makeup and hair are gorge.
Nicole Richie made her way down the carpet for the LACMA event over the weekend…
And took a risk while doing so. I do think the dress is beyond gorgeous, but perhaps it was a little too “beyond” for her. The tulle, the licorice-esque detail about the bodice and shoulder…to me, it’s a bit overwhelming for her petite frame. I would’ve also liked to see her hair just a bit more polished than it is here.
At the 32nd Annual Evening of Stars Event honoring Chaka Khan, Boris Kodjoe showed up to lend his support.
While I love the sheen of this suit, I wish it was a bit more tailored. And the tie he’s wearing seems to fade into his shirt. A black tie would’ve sufficed. B for effort when it comes to thinking outside the box.

Wearing a sleek asymmetric gown, the actress looks nothing short of hot! It fits her frame very well, and that red lip is giving me just what I need on a Monday morning.
Gorgeous songbird Melanie Fiona came though as well to honor the R&B Legend…
And I see someone’s been channeling her inner “Deena Jones”. Hmm…this dress is fine for a girls night or a disco themed party, but not a gala. And the big hair doesn’t help either. But we’re all allowed one mishap. Melanie’s definitely going to bounce back from this.

Melanie was performing for the tribute, it wasn’t a formal gala. You’ll see her channel her inner Chaka when it airs in January.

I actually I love Ameriie*s look; from head to toe. I am also a true fan of her music…she’s so underrated!!! Ameriie said she was inspired by children in the Solomon Islands. Children in Solomon Islands are dark skinned with natural blonde hair. They are so exotic & beautiful; I can see why Ameriie was inspired; the contrast between the dark skin tones and extremely light hair is beautiful. At least in my eyes…
