Happy Monday all!
Vuitton here with a round up of those who rocked the red carpet at the 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards, and others who may be firing their stylists soon.
First up are Nicole Ari Parker and hubby Boris Kodjoe …
Nicole looks stunning in her soft pink and black lace gown with a seductive slit up the side and cute peep-toe black satin pumps. Boris looks rather dapper in his black suit and tie, the staple for men on a red carpet. Wish he wore a pocket-piece, but the couple still looks hot!
Next up is Kim Kardashian, who doesn’t miss a red carpet event…
*Swoon* The reality starlet looks absolutely stunning in this Marchesa Resort gown. Definitely a much needed break from her curve-hugging predilection, Kim has the Greek gods lauding her. She dazzled in a Lorraine Schwartz cuff to complete her hot ensemble.
Eva Longoria-Parker also sauntered down the red carpet…
The actress wore a black Robert Rodriguez strapless gown with a train and accessorized with red chandelier earrings. While I don’t absolutely die over this look, she gets a B+ for effort. I guess it’s just my bias toward anything other than black on a red carpet.
“Glee” star Amber Riley also made her way down the carpet for her first Emmy’s…
She also took the Grecian goddess route and ran with it in the right direction. I especially love the jeweled belt at the waist. The makeup and hair are also en pointe. Hot!
Co-star Naya Rivera hit up the red carpet as well…
And it’s such a pity that on her first Emmy red carpet she didn’t look as great as she could have. Hmm… this iridescent emerald travesty does nothing to complement her skin tone. And the volume at the bottom and slit at the side just scream bad prom dress. All that’s missing is a tiara, sash, and scepter. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for you, Naya!
And last, but not least, for all you True Blood fans out there…
Not what you would’ve expected, huh? Anna Paquin knocked it out of the park with her Alexander McQueen number. The moment I saw her, my mouth dropped to the floor in awe. H-O-T! If there was ever a time to reference the breastplate of righteousness, the gold embellished bust of the dress would be that time. Definitely the most daring and “outside the box” look of the evening, but Anna pulled it off stupendously. My fave of the night!

Kimmy is my best dressed vote! She looks ravishing!
Anna Paquin’s dress is nice at the breastplate but to me it makes her tummy look very unflattering. Either she should have put on a gurdle or sucked that tummy in becuz it looks pudgy but apart from that it was a nice look. Naya looks like she is going to her senior prom….eeek not a good look.

Kim K takes it. Anna’s dress is nice, but like someone else pointed out, it’s not that flattering in the mid section. Nicole’s dress is just ugly, Naya tried too hard…or not hard enough and Amber’s hair and make up threw her look off a bit.

I really like Kim’s dress. So classy and elegant. I’m a huge fan of Anna Paquin, but that dress isn’t doing much for me. Perhaps my sense of fashion isn’t high enough. lol

Anna Paquin’s dress is beyond gorgeous.. the angle of the photo is less than flattering which is prob why yall dont love it as much as I do. I also like it because its different – that style is not something you see on the red carpet often, if ever

I’m disappointed in Anna’s choice. It’s not flattering to her shape at all! Her breasts are sitting low (she desperately needs a bra) and the sheen on the gown and that lower seam just make her little belly bulge look bigger than it really is. She should have worn something with an Empire waist with less shine to make her look slimmer.

Nicole & Boris, Kim K. * Amber Riley look fab. Gabby’s dress is too black & the velvet looks hot, not hot fly, but hot sweaty. Naya is a no-no & I do not lie the dress Anna is wearing. It is not flattering her shape at all, which is the most important thing about a dress, so I can’t understand why you though this was the hottest look of the night, but everyone is entitled to an opinion. And even if her shape looked perfect in it, that plate on her chest makes her breasts look weird & I don’t like the cut of the dress either…so yeah, it’s just a no for me.

Kim is simply beautiful in Marchesa. The best I’ve ever seen her.
Eva is cute but the dress is boring. I’ve seen her look better.
Amber is a dream. I love it.
Naya dissapointed me. She is such a pretty girl. What happened?
Anna – Just not feeling it. Love McQueen but she isn’t doing anything for the dress and this dress isn’t doing anything for her.

Anna is not pulling off that dress. The fit is bad and she’s too short. All Runway looks don’t translate to average women.
Nicole and Boris look great. I don’t like her dress or how her lipstick clashes with it, but her skin and body looks amazing!
Amber looks nice. Poor Naya and that hideous outdated prom dress.
I feel like I always see Eva Longoria in that exact dress. It’s either red or black, but it’s always the same basic dress.

COAKLEY: I am not sure there is a way to succeed. If the goal was and the vision in Afghanistan was to go in because we believe the Taliban was giving harbor to terrorists, we supported that, I supported that goal.
