Bombshells, meet the Ginger + Liz Colour Collection. The organic and vegan-friendly line was started by two gorgeous and fashionably smart brown girls, model/author S. Liz Pickett and entrepreneur H. Ginger Johnson.

Their line of deliciously chic polishes are loved by celebrity manicurists Kimmie Kyees and Lisa Logan as well as celebs and taste makers such as Mary J. Blige, Estelle, Rihanna, Queen Latifah, Beyoncé, June Ambrose, and Rachel Zoe. The glossy polishes have also been featured in editorials for magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Jones, People, and Teen Vogue.
According to their website, “Ginger + Liz provide small ticket luxury cosmetic products to the increasingly discerning beauty buffs that are predominately influenced by fashion, arts, travel, and entertainment. The G+L patron spans the trends and ages. She represents the Classic and Casual Chic, the Rock Glam and Bohemian, the Girly and the Pretty Prepster“.

“Our customers are known to masterfully balance their careers and social lives. She is a socialite in her own right. She is witty, smart, outspoken, driven, and yes, fashion forward. Most importantly, she embodies the G+L philosophy of feeling good as well as looking good. Her nail lacquer often represents her lifestyle and personality and she is pleased to let her nails do the talking for her. She is the master of her domain! From chic to street, prep school to public school, office to party…Ginger + Liz has your nails covered!”
Yours truly got her ashy little hands on Hold the Drama (a creamy midnight navy that shines a bit on the purple side) and Tough Luxe (a deep army green with gold sheen). They will be part of my fall nail polish army.

I read about them in a magazine somewhere a while ago! I’m so glad to see that they are doing big things!!! And these nail polish colors look BANGING, I wonder if they charge over what OPI charges (hopefully not) cause OPI is about to run me and my bank account out of business lol!

That Good Good Blog, girl they sure do charge over the OPI price. Each polish is $12 a pop but as you said the colors are dope. I am loving the polish in Ivy League and just might treat myself. I think its worth it.

Cute colors, but I definitely can’t hang for 12 bucks!

i’ve seen the colors they have elsewhere and why should i pay $12 for their polish?

I and my clients love G + L

LMAO @ “ashy little hands”! Danielle, you are too much!

Well, I’m glad the rich & famous are supporting because $12 is a bit steep. Most of these shades are dupable for $2.25 @ Diamond Cosmetics.

August 18, 2010 10:36 pm
@ i’ve spent the same on opi, a proven brand with similar shades and more, and less with on other brands with again similar shades. not seeing the draw here.

I’d love to support these 2 Black women! I don’t buy polish regularly but am happy to send my money a Black woman’s way for a color I like. Going Back to Cali looks like my beloved Jackie Oh! from CC so I think I’ll bite. Besides every company’s colors look like the other.
