I cut it all off about two years ago, and Now im thinking about it again… but this time because of the damage. I have not put any chemicals in my hair, but I have been straightening it a lot. So Here comes another chapter.. learning how to care and nurture my beautiful curls… what I was researching is the growing process.. because I dont necessarily want to keep it short, but I want to learn how to care for it in all levels of growth. And something else I have been thinking about is the work force.. I just graduated college so now I am applying for jobs and what not. fun. :(. lol. anyway. I dont want to NOT look professional, but I am a bit upset that professional means a certain hair style.
How do care for my curly hair from short to long??

It is much easier to cut your hair short when you didn’t have much hair in the first place like Solange and Chrisette. It is much harder when your hair is actually long like Bre’s. More power to her. I have contemplated doing it myself (I have long, thick hair) but I just don’t have the never right now. I am sure that it is quite liberating. Can you imagine being able to get ready almost as fast as your man. Only spend 10-15 minutes on your hair? It would be heaven.

I have very long wavy/curly hair that is just about at the top of my behind. I have never used a relaxer or perms on my hair. My hair is already natural. I do plan on cutting my hair all off, shaved in the back and donate to Locks Of Love. I have cut my hair in a very short bob but never all off. I am very nervous but I look forward to it. Like many I have a very big head. But, I am looking forward to the change. I am more nervous for how often I will have to get my hair done (my hair grows very fast) and how I will look.

I just recently (last week of May) chopped off my hair to about an 1 inch. So yeah, similar to Solange. All in the quest to bring forth natural HEALTHY hair. Before that, I’ve been natural for about 5/6 yrs. Didn’t initially start from the beginning; I let the perm fall off. During that period, I was NOT taking good care of it. Hot oil treatment? #fail Condition? #fail Moisturize it? #fail A hot ass mess all around. This time around, I’m being a little more tender to my hair. I have been taking great care of it and it shows. My hair has been growing so much! Never have I seen it growing at this rate before. Actually, it freaks me out. But I’m loving it. I’m waiting until December to see my progress. After Dec? Who knows.

I cut my hair 2 weeks ago after debating doing it for about 5 years. I have never felt so free in all my life. I recommend it to anyone. You don’t realize how much the relaxer and the blowdryer and the flat iron hold you hostage.

I just recently did the big chop about 2 months ago. I love the feeling of waking up in the morning and not having to deal with my hair. I have extra cash in my pocket since i don’t splurge on the best weaves and a ridiculously expensive stylist. I feel very free, and never once have i regretted shaving off all my long soft hair. When ppl say to me “OMG u cut ur hair”? I tell them, its just hair it’ll grow back and ur hair length or texture DOES NOT define beauty!
