You Should Know: Young Designer Calvin Nymon

Hey Guys!

Since I’ve been in Paris, I’ve gotten to know some of the local talent, including 18-year-old designer Calvin Nymon:

A fashion fanatic, Calvin already has a line of bow necklaces currently sold in the store “Addicted” in the chic Marais neighborhood and plans on launching a clothing line soon. Of his line, he says it will be, “very pop influenced with structured cuts mixed with eye catching silhouettes and colors.”

Keep an eye out for his debut collection next summer.

He’s one to watch.

I’m not really sure what I was looking for while surfing the blogosphere one evening, but I’m glad I came across these watches. My mom can tell you how much of a watch freak I am (yet I somehow don’t understand how I’m late for work sometimes), so I was elated to discover some very handsome watches at an affordable price. Enter Triwa watches.

Aside from being a timepiece that’s not so run-of-the-mill, Triwa watches pride themselves on not being “playful and unpretentious” while still managing to convey a sense of longevity. Vuitton here with a look at who turned it up and out this week. Quite a few of our faves were spotted at the 11th Annual Maxim Hot 100 party. Clearly it wouldn’t have been a party without these stylish starlets. And a few were spotted around the globe at launch parties and events.

I’m loving Ciara’s ensemble and her Versace S/S 2010 sandals. Mary J Blige looks stunning in that gold gown. And Dirty Money’s tough girl chic vibe is sure to be a hit for summer nights.

According to Necole Bitchie, Mary J Blige has partnered with Jimmy Iovine to create a sunglasses line called Melodies by MJB:

According to NB “The line will launch in Fall 2010 and will feature 4 styles of shades with 20 color options.”

Love that Mary is getting her fashion on. First her collaboration on watches with Gucci, now sunglasses. She is unstoppable.
