Hey Fashion Bombers!
Vuitton here with a weekend roundup! It’s a holiday here in the Bahamas, so I’m headed to the beach a little later (how many of you are jealous?). But before I go, you know we have to give you guys the rundown of who hit it and who completely missed the mark this weekend. The stars came out for parties and red carpet events, but it’s you who have the final say.
First up is happy couple Carmelo Anthony and LaLa Vasquez...
I love Carmelo’s suit and the fact that he didn’t pair khaki with a pastel color. His tan suede shoes are pretty dope as well. La La looks amazing in her bodycon white dress paired with red YSL Trib Too’s. Hot! However, I would’ve liked to see La La wear a nude pump to complement Carmelo more. I guess I’m just that cheesy.
LaLa’s BFF Kim Kardashian hit up a Svedka Vodka R.U. Bot Or Not party this weekend as well…
And Kim nails it again. I love how she brought a bit of drama with her strong-shouldered embellished jacket but kept the skirt and Louboutins basic. The perfect balance of how to wear an outfit. Hot Kimmy!
Regina King attended a birthday party for Diana Lopez this weekend…
Shoddy backdrop aside, Regina looks hot in this curve hugging number and cute ankle strap peep-toe shoes. She kept is simple, which I like, because it wasn’t her birthday being celebrated. But she’s still making us take notice.
Vivica Fox also came through…
Now this is a more sophisticated look for Vivica that I put my stamp of approval on. We usually see her in tight, thigh-skimming dresses that may not be *ahem* age-appropriate, but this is definitely a look that seems comfortable for her. I’m digging the white blazer, black leggings, and statement necklace. But “Arr Matey”…is that a parrot on her shoulder? Hmm… I trust she didn’t arrive there with it on her shoulder.
And performing for the birthday celebrations, Bobby Valentino…
…and his frosted tips. I love the outfit, but I don’t love the outfit on him. It screams, “Look at me! I’m wearing Gucci from shoulder to toe!” in an obnoxious tone. And it looks like he’s drowning in those clothes. Because he’s not as vertically apt, he should find clothes that will elongate his physique. Hmm…hopefully this was just an off day. And hopefully, beauty correspondent, Danielle can recommend a suitable hair-dye for him.
Over at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS 2010 red carpet gala in France, Jennifer Lopez sidled down the carpet…
Needless to say, my heart literally stopped, and I tried to gasp for air. She looks absolutely stunning in this frothy Roberto Cavalli gown. The nude hue compliments her skin tone so effortlessly, and she kept the bling to somewhat of a minimum letting this piece of heaven we call a dress speak for itself. H O T!
Mary J. Blige was also in attendance…
Rocking her usual Grecian Goddess silhouette, Mary doesn’t disappoint. She brought a little bit of drama to the wrist since her dress had some sparkle. Hot!
