Reader Latrese contacted us with an urgent request! She said, “So a few days ago while at the hair salon I perused the December issue of Upscale Magazine (I’m late, I know lol), and was immediately drawn to these earrings worn by Fantasia. I was hoping someone from your staff can tell where I could find them. I HAVE TO HAVE THEM! Unfortunately the magazine didn’t list the retailers for Fantasia’s photoshoot. I’ve even tried googling to no avail. PLEASE HELP!!!”
The Fashion Bomb to the rescue!
Fantasia is wearing a very popular style of earrings called Fulani:

The design originated in Mali and has been seen on India Arie and Aisha Tyler (we actually wrote about them in a vintage Mail Bombs post here).
We found a pair for only $17 at www.goldcoastafrica.com, but they look a bit small. Bombers, if you know other locations with bigger sizes, holla in the comments!
Smootches!
Hey!
Sinice Vuitton loved Pooch Hall’s outfit from BET’s Rip the Runway, I decided to find it for you fellas who might like it as well:

Get it for less by wearing a $20 polo under a $99 Ben Sherman cardigan, and slipping on a pair of $30 gray pants with $88 Air Force Ones:

Hey Guys!
So today I was walking along Boulevard Beaumarchais, and stopped short when I spied an alluring window display with a sign for clothing line Xuly Bët:
The funky line, created by Malian designer Lamine Badian Kouyaté, mixes vintage with African sensibility and is a favorite of fashion divas like Grace Jones. I’d heard a lot about the line before I moved to Paris, but could never get around to finding a boutique. Turns out the location I happened upon had only been open two weeks. What are the chances?
Of course I had to take a look inside:

The shop boasted women’s, mens, and childrens clothing by French designers like Jerome L’Huillier, Ensainte, and Project M, ranging in price from 25€ ($33 USD) for t-shirts to 1200€ ($1,623 USD) for coats. There’s something for everyone!
I also really liked the cool murals on the wall, done by graffiti artist Alex:

It’s definitely worth checking out!
If you’re ever in Paris, visit the store at 95 Boulevard Beaumarchais in the 3rd arrondissment. If not, check out Xuly Bët at www.xulybet.moreluv.net.
Smootches!
We’re back with Swagger Paris Mondays!
This week they caught up with Adama, a designer from Sierra Leone:
This is a perfect example of how a coat can make an outfit. The draped, plaid topper is exceedingly chic, and brought more to life by her dark opaque tights and camel booties. And can we talk about her fly hairstyle and glasses. Fierce!
What do you think? Does she have Swagger?

Hey all!
Vuitton here with a weekend rundown of the stars who came out to shine. From BET’s Rip the Runway to Niecy Nash’s 40th, we’ve got enough hotness and “notness” to go around.
First up is Pooch Hall who stopped through BET’s Rip The Runway…
Rocking a cardigan and plaid scarf, his look has the best of both worlds and marries classic with trendy. Two thumbs up!
How many rappers does it take to kill four raccoons and dye their tails? One.
Souljah Boy could’ve been a candidate for flyness, but he turned his swag into overdrive, and not in a good way. The furry tails are too distracting, not to mention unnecessary. Hmm…
Estelle rarely disappoints when she hits the red carpet.
Donning a blue sequined number with origami pleating at the bust, she sparkled at the event. Hot!
Ciara hit up Haze Nightclub over the weekend to join in the celebration of Mariah Carey’s end of tour party.
While I’m loving Ciara’s jacket and denim leggings, the sports bra? Hmm… She should have opted for a wife beater to pull the look together. And shouldn’t sports bras stay in the gym?
The guest of honor, Mrs. Cannon was there in the celebration as well.
Mariah didn’t stray at all from her typical curve-hugging, body-con dress niche. Not so bad…until you get to the stunner shades. Hmm…I guess since it’s her party, she can rock her specs indoors if she wants to.
Zoe Saldana was spotted at a Vogue.it’s Milan Fashion Week event looking stunning as per usual.
Rocking it out in all black, her ruffle top, pencil skirt and fierce peep-toe booties are the perfect combination for a killer outfit. Hot!
Neicy Nash celebrated her 40th by throwing a huge 40, Fabulous N Flirty event.
I was never really a fan of the flowers she always puts in her hair, but this time, it works. Her hairstylist gets major applause and her gorgeous white dress was perfect for bringing in the big birthday. Hot!
Eva Marcille also came through to join in on the festivities.
Perfectly coiffed hair adds to the rocker steeze she’s giving off in her look. But something about those purple shoes make me go hmm… I appreciate the risk she took in adding some color to her ensemble, but I don’t think purple was the right choice. Blue, perhaps, would’ve been a better decision.
What do you guys think?
