Style Inspiration: Spring Showers + Pour la Victoire Rain Boot Giveaway!
By Claire

Not sure what it’s like in your neck of the woods, but in Paris the weather is all over the place! One minute, you’re almost whisked away by a combination of fierce wind and heavy rain, the next it’s blue skies like a normal spring day.
Be prepared come rain or shine with these fun options:

Even if the weather is frightful, you’ll look delightfully colorful and spring appropriate with a multi-hued umbrella, bright rainboots, and plum gloves:

Lucky you, if you’re in need of some new wellies, bomb shoe brand Pour la Victoire was nice enough to offer a pair of their $220 Rus Croc Rainboots to one fortunate Fashion Bomb Reader:

Aren’t they cute?
To win, follow Pour la Victoire on Twitter, Become their Fan on Facebook, and leave a comment with your location and why you NEED these boots more than anyone else (For example, it’s monsoon season where I live and my feet got soaked the other day)!
We’ll announce a winner later this week.
Good luck!
PS We will check weather.com:)

I live in Boston. Obama has declared the state of Massachusetts a State of Emergency. Im from the south, and my best defense against this has been a pair of flip flops and high heels. I need help. Thanks! :-)

  2. Julie says:

    I NEED this boots because:
    1. They are FABULOUS!
    2. I have a great rain trench but no rain boots!
    3. My job involves a lot of running around town, yet I still have to look stylish. Yesterday I got caught in the mother of all rain/hail storms and got SOAKED. There were puddles in my shoes! This was not a good look squelching into my next client. With these gorgeous rain boots I would be dry and super a la mode!
    4. These fancy boots would also get me through summer festival season, muddy legs is not a good look!
    5. I live in Paris and they have March storms and April showers going on here!
    6. I’m Irish though and I visit home all the time, and we all know it rains there constantly (but then its nice and green!)
    7. Because I’m worth it?! ;)
    Thanks! (pick me pick me!)

Are those bags see thru, if it is then all your things are publicly displayed

  4. Lena says:

I desperately need these boots! I live in Houston, TX and while it isn’t the rainy season, I have gained quite a bit of weight during the winter season and if I had these fab boots, I could wear them this summer and at least my feet could sweat off some of the weight!!!!

I live in Atlanta. Lately, the weather has been wackier than usually. Example: It was close to 70 degrees one Saturday, that next Monday it snowed. For the last few years we had been experiencing a drought. The last few months, we’ve had enough rain to make up for the those last few years. We’ve had floods in places that have never seen more than a few inches of rain. Right now, it’s nice and sunny, but who knows what this April will bring? Not even the weatherman I’m sure. I’ve never owned a pair of rain boots in my life, but I believe it’s high time I had some lol!

  6. I need these boots because FL has forgot that rainy season isn’t suppose to come until August. Cold + Rain = a need for those rain boots

  7. LeonaDee says:

I NEED them because I’m a broke student and I can’t afford to buy these boots on my income. Lately the weather has been flip-flopping (as we all know) and one day on my way to class, my feet and pants were soaked to the knees. I don’t have a car (can’t afford it) so these could be my weather defense while dealing with NJ public transportation. Other than that, I WANT them because they’re nice looking, lol.
    Location: Northern New Jersey

  8. Stacey Brizan says:

I live in NY, and I really want these bad boys.. They hot.

My weather man told me last night that we’ve had the wettest March on record. Because I want these boots so bad, I checked out the National Weather Service and saw that March total rainfall was 10.69 inches in Central Park, breaking the record of 10.54 inches set in 1983

  9. Sunnee says:

I live in the DMV. I need these boots because hard times forced me to give up my baby, Nissan Altima 08, and i now take a public bus. I work hard shuttling around from school to work rain or shine. Here in Maryland that means at least 2 days of cold rain a week! The only thing that keeps me going is looking good while doing so. That’s hard to maintain in the rain. Through all the snow and rain I’m on my 2 pair of madden girl boots. Usually i will slip on my sad old beat uggs from years ago to keep from ruining anymore shoes. Pick me these boots are needed here!

I posted my comment on the facebook fan page. I followed them on twitter. @caribbelle

    this was my comment:
I’m in Philly and for the last few days its been raining like the second coming of the great flood…if it keeps up I’d like to be waiting for Noah’s Ark fashionably in those gorgeous Rus Croc Rainboots :)

It is severe weather season where I live, and I do not have any rain boots. I always get my shoes very wet and muddy. I would love to have some stylish boots. If others see my boots, they will also want to purchase them a pair. Thank you!

  13. Brandi says:

woo! I definitely need these boots! I live in Austin, TX where it rains at least once a week and I also visit my family in Houston once a month (or more) and it rains there too! I’ve actually never owned a pair of rainboots so it would be awesome to finally have some that are so stylish and awesome! I’m also planning to move back to DC and the weather is completely unpredictable so these boots will work wherever I may end up! Thanks!!! I’m @transcendent3 on twitter and have become a fan on facebook :)

  14. Ashley Rader says:

I NEED these boots. Not only do I lust after Pour la Victoire daily but I am getting ready to do an internship in Southeast Asia during rainy season. I am getting my Masters in Public Health and Public Nutrition and will be spending a minimum of 3 months walking to and from my little hut to various nearby villages and these boots will make such a big difference in my mindset. Please please please let me win!

  15. Tania says:

I need these boots because wearing Uggs in rainy weather is not the business, trust me I know! My fave black flat leather boots turn out to be of very cheap quality (F U Bakers! lol) and all I have are Uggs, in which rain seeps and gets my socks wet.

And because Boston weather, like its drivers are unpredictable and two days ago I got splashed with water by a passing car and got a cold from wearing wet boots all day, fun fun!

  16. Stylishous says:

I can’t really say I have as good enough of a reason as any of these readers, but I must say post 2, Julie totally won my vote. I know you are not asking for votes, but I thought I would give my two cents anyway :) She made me laugh & had a lot of points. And no I really don’t know her. Seriously I don’t. Shoot I want those boots for myself if I could have them! LOL

  17. Julie says:

Ha Stylishous if I did know you I would say check is in the post! But as I don’t I’ll just say thanks very much :”)

April showers bring may flowers… `another thing April brings is my birthday (11th) and this year mother nature is giving me rain as my gift and i would to be able to keep my feet dry with a pair of fabulous rain boots such as these when i got out for brunch with the girls to celebrate and because i have a feeling my lime green ones will not go with my birthday outfit. lol

location Yonkers NY in case u need proof. =D

  20. Ann says:

I love those boots! I’ve been wary of rainboots because my style is more punk than most rainboots would allow ahaha
I live in Jamaica now and we have an active hurricane season every year starting in June. Thanks to global warming, this year is looking to be the most active hurricane season yet.

  21. Fabohair says:

Yesterday I saw a woman pair a white and grey dress with a yellow scarf and yellow sandals. It looked fabulous. I’m definitely recreating this look. I see you’ve got both the grey and the yellow accessories highlighted here.

  22. Kelilah D says:

Fahionista, thats what I have strived to be since birth. I always wanted to set trends rather than follow them. living in chicago (the windy city) is only the topper to the reasons i need these gorgeous shoes. If I am bleesed enough to recieved the boots it will be greatly appreciated.
