Ah Fashion Bombers!
Ever since I first watched the hilarious video “I’m on a Boat” by Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer featuring T-Pain, I’ve been looking for an excuse to feature it on the Fashion Bomb. Though entertaining, I couldn’t quite find the right fashion related post to go along with it….until we received the following seaworthy wardrobe query from reader Charlene.
She says, “I’m going to party on a yacht (held in the evening/night) and have no idea what to wear! I’m looking for something dressy but not over the top. I’m open to anything! :) Thanks in advance.”
When I think of yacht attire, I get images of lean prepsters holding cocktails while teetering on high stilettos. Go for saucy yet understated in a crisp white button down, a flashy mini skirt with sailor stripes, hot heels, and lots of gold jewelry.

The boat can get rocky, so don’t forget your flippy floppies:) Get the look here:
And if you’ve never seen the “I’m on a Boat” video, feast your eyes:
Hilarity indeed.
Enjoy!

The heels look nice but heels on boats are not recommended and usually the captain will ask you to remove them unless you are on one of the Princess cruises with 350 other people…..which is more like a floating hotel…..most Yacht owners don’t want heels poking holes in their fiberglass……or wood……
