The bright lip strikes again! This time in vivid hot pink. Singer Olivia was recently spotted in the bold hue while bowling it up with other celebs at Chelsea Piers.
Olivia decided to let the focus be all about the lips (ok, and her flawless skin). Get her look with the following steps:
1. As always, beautiful makeup begins with beautiful skin. Be sure to tone, cleanse, and moisturize your face according to your skin type. Manicured brows help add definition to the eyes and complete your look.
2. Smooth out any fine lines or pores with a foundation primer that also helps to keep your foundation put like Make Up For Ever HD Microperfecting Primer.
3. Apply a liquid foundation heavy enough to cover any flaws, but still light enough to allow your skin to look like skin. Try Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation–it comes in 25 shades so you’re bound to find your match. Or if you’re on a budget, try Maybelline Mineral Power Foundation. Set your foundation with a loose powder like Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder, a universal translucent finishing powder that softens the appearance of imperfections and completely evens out the complexion for a glowing, radiant look.

4. To open up your eyes, apply a few coats of a deep black mascara–the dark hue will help give the appearance of thicker and more dense lashes. Try YSL Luxurious Mascara in Noir Radical. If you want more drama, grab some Duo Lash Glue in Dark and some Ardell Fashion Lashes and tap into your inner Diana Ross. Go here for a lash tutorial. Line your eyes with black liner. Try Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in Mat Black 0L, a waterproof liner that stays put even in the waterline.
5. Apply a sheer rosy blush to your cheek bones like MAC Mineralize Blush in Love Thing.
6. And now comes the color! To get your lip color to last, first apply a lip primer (Chapstick works), then line and fill in your lips with a lip pencil in a color similar to your natural lip color or for more color impact (and a base of color to keep you covered when your lipstick begins to fade) go for one that’s the same color as your lip color. For this look, try MAC Lipstick in Show Orchid, a vivid hot pink that looks great on virtually every skin color. For lip pencils try Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in 16C or MAC Lip Pencil in Magenta.
Avoid getting lipstick on your teeth—stick your index finger in your mouth with your lips wrapped around it and then pull through.
No need to match your lip color to your jacket though.

Olivia looks great! I’m loving the pink lips. It’s a tricky look to try, but she pulls it off effortlessly. Her skin looks flawless – she shows that it pays to take good care of your skin.

Love hot pink lips. FYI: For those on a budget NYX’s Black Label has a really pretty hot pink called what else “Hot Pink”. I use a fuschia color lip pencil all over the lips and then top with lipstick. I put a little lipgloss (same color or close) in the middle of the lips for some depth. Looks great.
