Hey Guys!
So Pantene was kind enough to send me over samples of their Relaxed and Natural for Women of Color Hair Care Line, and of course I had to try it out! All this month, I’ll be offering you guys quick reviews of my fave products from the line. First up, their Daily Oil Cream and Moisturizer:

What’s not to love? This creamy concoction of Glycerin, Mineral, and Coconut Oils keeps my hair bouncy during the dry winter months. I’ve used it day and night without fail, and it gives my hair the moisture that it needs (when the heat in my super toasty apartment takes it away). Bonus, it never makes my locks feel super oily or weighed down. It’s the bomb!

Stay tuned for more product reviews next week!

The daily oil moisturizer is the truth. It works really well on natural and other curly styles. I wouldn’t use too much on light-weight styles like wraps since it could weight the style down. A little dab will do. Be careful with the shampoo and conditioner, they don’t provide as much moisture and can leave your hair a little dry.

My mom uses the shampoo and conditioner, but I’m not the biggest fan. Hillerie is right: It doesn’t leave your hair as moisturized as some other brands. I stopped using the daily cream moisturizer in favor of some olive oil cream I picked up at a beauty store here.
My hair is natural, but I blow dry once a week. The daily cream from Pantene felt like it dried out my hair and I felt the need to reapply throughout the day.
It’s not bad though. In other words, it’s a good deal.

Yea the shampoo does leave my hair a bit dry which is not good since African American hair is already dry enough.

If your hair is relaxed, Motions line offers a lot of products with moisture. They have a new spray oil that works really well. If you don’t want your hair weighed down, spray a little in your hand and workthrough your hair. You should deep condition with a plastic cap after you wash. Sitting under a coolish dryer before you blow dry will help your hair retain moisture. Organic Root Stimulator products work really well on natural hair. Carols Daughter is awesome too. Look for products without a lot of alchol.

iLove Mizani products. It really keeps my hair moisturized and healthy looking. I use the Rose H2O Conditioning Hairdress every day.
