So I was getting down on a yummy cheeseburger at my local diner when Rihanna’s video for Rude Boy came on TV. Though the burger was bangin, I had to put it down for a second to take in the fun visuals:
I loved the neon colors, Rihanna’s sexy swagger, and the song! Finally Rihanna has a post-Umbrella hit that matches her outfits in hotness.
I also appreciated the viddy’s Caribbean feel. Rihanna started with ‘Pon de Replay, then went to Disturbia, and now she’s somewhere in between. I love it.
As soon as I got home I downloaded Rude Boy from Itunes. It’s currently on permapeat (that’s how I gets down).

I must admit, I was not crazy about the record when I first listened a month ago.
However, the videe has now changed my mind. Rih is BAD indeed. Funny how visual imagery can change your perspective lol!

I agree with Will, MIA did it first and Rihanna’s ‘creative director’ just copied it. I love Rihanna, but credit should be given where it’s due… Plus, I kinda like MIA’s version better…
