However, I like the progressive, forward thinking idea of Vogue Italia to create not only Vogue Black but Vogue Curvy. Both are long overdue--it would be nice to flip open any fashion magazine and see a CLEARLY black woman on every other page or a full bust, full hipped woman shadowing a stick figure model. But that's not the case. As long we both readers are ignored by mainstream fashion magazines, there is a neccessity. With that said, I know Vogue Black should feature some up and coming designers throughout the African diaspora. How about some definitively black models too and while we're at it, consistent articles that deal with our specific beauty and health issues. Right now the site seems more than a bit fluffy.
