Where to begin? She wore a close fitting pale pink catsuit under a tuxedo jacket, and courageously popped on a pair of Alexander McQueen alien shoes to accessorize: 
As for her hair, she decided to tread in Gaga territory with a crown of horns, and made the look her own with a long body length braid.
Somehow Gaga can pull the ‘crown’ look off…
…but can Kelis?

I love Kelis I think her personal style is amazing but the fact of the matter is this here just is NOT working for her. A lot of times celebs wear off the runway pieces and its a huge mistake I mean there is a reason why its on the runway where it is perfectly normal to be outrageous and over the top. E for effort though.

After you get over the weirdness, somehow it sorta works. I think she looks pretty. And she is working that catsuit. I haven’t had a baby and can’t wear that.

It’s Kelis. For her I don’t think this is that outrageous cos she’s written her own style rules for years now so to judge her by what mainstream stars wear is kinda pointless.

While I have to say that it amazes me that I can still notice her face and its attractiveness underneath this whole getup, I still say this look is a hell no. There is such a thing as taking it too far. Everything is not “fashion.” personally I just think she is looking for some attention since her music won’t be getting any.

I have a feeling that Kelis wanted to take it to the extreme just to see how many unoriginal “biters” will copy this (or something similar) in the near future. There’s a semi-recent article where she discusses her take on those who have copied her style, so in a way, I think this is her way of saying “Try this!”

Her face is beautiful. She’s so pretty that sometimes I wish she’d just be pretty though.

Too many trends at once! She should have picked one, maybe two, and then it wouldn’t have looked so “fancy dress”. Even so, more power to her for being so brave. She could do the shoes and the jacket at once, or the shoes and the head-dress, or the make-up and the hair, the bodysuit and the jewellery, but all at the same time is just too much going on. I love that she’s risky, but her style need a little bit of fine-tuning lately.

I love that Kelis took a risk and wore this over the top outfit. Yeah, there is a lot going on, but this is not something she wore to the store. She wore it to an award show. Kelis always had a very edgy style way before we knew about Lady Gaga or Rihanna. What’s more important is that she wore it with CONFIDENCE the best accessory and one everyone should own.
By the way, the body post bady is FIRE!!!! Work Kelis!!!!!!

I Actually Think The Hair Would If She Didn’t Hare That Ponytail… It’s Not Really What She’s Wearing… It’s The Combination Of Everthing That Like Pushes It To Be A Bit Weird & OTT… However No Matter What She Where Still Looks So Prettty I Must Say – She’s Got A Beautiful Face
