Zac Posen for Target

WWD reports that Fashion Bomb friend Zac Posen will be the next Go International Designer for Target:

They say, “Target did not disclose prices for Posen’s collection, but previous Go collections have been in the $14.99 to $149.99 range. Posen’s own collection is priced from $900 to $12,000, with custom pieces fetching upward of $20,000.”

The Zac Posen for Target Go International collection will be available at Target stores and at Target.com from April 25 through May 30.

Red Carpet Trend : Plum Passion

As fall becomes winter, starlets have been sidling up to warmer tones like deep purples, plums, and aubergine.

The pretty color works for any fashionista worth her salt, regardless of age or body type:

Leona Lewis corsets up a ribbed dark purple strapless worn with embellished booties and patent accessories.

Tiny and Kim Kardashian also jump on the plum band wagon with liquid frocks worn with nude or light colored heels.

Gabourey Sidibe represents for the curvy fashionistas in a draped, ruched floor length gown offset by turquoise jewels.

And Gayle King shows the look works just as well for the sophisticated stylista in a cowl neck plum sweater dress with matching tights, shoes, and bag.

Hot! Or Hmm… : Amber Rose, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and more!

Star sightings were few and far between, as most were at home spending quality time with their family and friends for the holidays. Still, however, a handful rolled out for the party and performance circuit, wearing all grades of stylish outfits. Take a look:

Amber Rose made an appearance at Atlanta club Primal wearing a slick leather vest, her signature shades, pink lipstick, and a body suit over sheer tights. While we’ve lauded Amber for her fashion forays in the past, her look is starting to feel stale. The all black tight pants or no pants look with shield shades has a ‘been there seen that’ feel, and I’m kinda missing the Amber who used to rock out with green leather McQueen Jackets and zebra print platforms. Hmm, maybe her boyfriend/stylist should intervene…

Continuing the no pants trend was Rihanna, who performed on ABC’s Good Morning America in a Dean Quinn white blazer and platform black pumps. Rihanna continues to push the style envelope in her choice of designers and silhouettes, and this number was no exception. The blazer is tailored, flattering, and shows off her million dollar legs. Hot!

Elsewhere in New York Alicia Keys performed at NBC’s Today Show in a multi-chain accented belted green leather zipper trench, liquid leggings, and exotic skinned boots. While the green trench is sick, and the accessories on on point, the outfit would have been better served with a cute pair of platform black pumps. The boots make the outfit in general seem too busy, and take shine away from Alicia’s cool green statement piece. Hmmm…

Lastly, Leona Lewis kept the Vivienne Westwood at home, and wore a puff sleeve black shirt with corset detail, dark jeans, and knee high boots for an appearance on MuchDemand Music in Toronto. Leona loves the corset silhouette, and found a way to dress down the saucy look with comfy jeans and boots that made her overall look hot!

Real Style : Breakfast in America

Hey Bombshells!

Hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday and Black Friday!

This weekend I had a taste for American food, so went to a restaurant in Paris called Breakfast in America. The popular diner offers brunch favorites like pancakes, omelettes, breakfast burritos and more..and is absolutely delicious! There’s always a huge line to get into the small space, and while waiting, I spied this sophisticated fashionista and her equally stylish daughter:

While the dynamic duo both wore cool sunglasses and warm fuzzy winter hats, mom’s style stood out for her cool mohair wrap and stole, and daughter was equally chic thanks to her bright red coat and silver Gucci Sneaks.

I chit chatted with both of them, and mom mysteriously revealed that she worked in fashion, but wouldn’t give me any more information.

At any rate, they have great taste in clothes and in food!

Guys, if you’re looking for a little men’s style inspiration, Swagger Paris brings us the fashionable Mboko:

The style editor brings a bit of color to winter with a chic red paisley scarf, dark brown attaché case, dark readers, and fetching red sneakers:

He shows that accessories can make or break an outfit. Without the scarf, glasses, and shoes, he’d look like a Wall Street type with his slate gray pants and structured trench. Add a bit of flair, and he’s instantly fabulous.
