Rihanna seems to have taken the route of Cassie and Lala, shaving her already short cut even more:
She debuted her new shaved sides recently on an outing in NYC’s West Village.
I was personally over this style when Lala did it, so Rihanna’s new venture doesn’t really move me.

HOT! The thing about a trend. . .is that, it is just that, A TREND. The biggest names of them all cannot avoid NOT following a trend. Maybe they love a particular new style! What’s the biggie? Name one article of clothing in your closet that does not follow a trend? C’mon people. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Ok things can be trendy, but we always thought Rihanna was a trendsetter, not a trend follower. She’s the one that make people do things, not the other way around.
I personally think these girls need to let go of the clippers and try to find another way to be edgy.

It is just a hairstyle.. so she shaved her head.. if she wants to do it, heck, do it.. she is at an age where she can really experiment.. I am about to shave all my hair off after years off debating it..
I don’t know.. I think it is nice when people experiment.. even Lala and Cassie and just give us something different.. like Amber Rose and Kesh.. it is a just as nice to look at, if not more, than lacefronts.. do the do and walk the walk!

i’m realllllllly getting sick of this girl. not a hater whatsoever because i love her style, but when you start to do things for the attention….ugh. i don’t even have any words! looking at it from the back is jarring, looking at it from one side is better, looking at it as a whole= NOT IMPRESSED. She is lovely, people get bored with their looks, nothing wrong with mixing it up! Im sure in another few weeks she will be on to something else. I like this look actually, I think its bold and fun!
As someone else said, shes young…have fun!!
She is a trend setter though, so I am surprised she didn’t push the envelope with something else, but I dig the look RI RI!

I’m going to turn this post into something positive because this hairdo is not becoming..it would have been more of a statement if she were to have just shaved the whole mange off PERIOD! i dunno what those pieces are supposed to be doing for her–the positive flip to this is maybe now the tacky ass weaves and extra long unbelievable weaved up chicks can finally be put to rest and black women can feel comfortable in thier own hair..i am for one sick of these brazillian/armenian/puerto rican chicas sportin the hawiian silky hair-dos that our hair cannot duplicate. black women we have nappy, course thick hair dont fall into the hype..

I give it a hmmmmm to the 11th power. Just because she’s “Rih Rih” ppl are bending over backwards to back her up on this hideousness she calls edgyness and fashion. There are a lot of edgyness and fashion that I like and Rihanna RARELY does it for me. She only does these things for attention. She’s getting paid to look like this??? Her stylist must hate her. i think its hot for rihanna. the shaved head thing is nothing new. Rihanna pulls it off becz it matches her style and her hair is still fairly short so its edgy. unlike cassie who is usually a girly girl type dresser, && all that long hair flowing on one side of her face! ek ek… but RIRi usually pulls off 90% of whatever she does.

The question was is it hot or hideous, it’s hideous. Not because it’s not long, my mom has a fade and it’s cute. THIS particular look is very, very bad. It’s even funnier that people who hated the look on others who actually did it better, are now trying so hard to defend this one which is FAR worse.
I don’t really care for the style, but from the left it’s ok. The second picture shows how terrible it is.

I have been fighting myself on whether or not, I should comment on this post, however I think that I should say something, and get it off my chest. This haircut is exactly why I have mixed feelings about Rihanna. She seems to represent everything that’s wrong with the music industry. Her music is ok at best, and, it seems that she’s constantly involved in drama or doing things to set trends and get attention.
This haircut is no different. It fits with her punk rock look and it is a very popular trend. However, I just don’t get it. Like really. What was the point? Did she do it just do it or was there some motivation behind it? Every true artist does things for a reason and Rihanna seems to lack that. She doesn’t write her music, dress herself, do her choregraphy or anything else for that matter. She seems to be just a pretty face.
Don’t get me wrong, she doesn’t seem like a bad person, but, she’s just not talented. I want her to start modeling and stop masquerading as an entertainer. At least then I could find her to be somewhat respectable. Case in point, Rihanna start modeling because that’s what you seem to be known for.

Its a hhmmm a hhmmm wtf ?. . .. im starting to think she’s more of a socialite then a artist… I 100% agree w\ {LoudPen} I look at the artist that I admire bkus there artist, I admire models 4 being models, writers 4 being writers…ect.
Rihanna would be 1 of the best models in the world clearly. I feel that’s what she is…& she’s best at… singers becoming actors …no stick to singing {except jamie fox} I jus don’t think singing is 4 her anymore I would respect her a lot more if she jus became 100% dedicated to her modeling….. she cut her hair like that to upstage the others, steal they shine, and get praise for being “rihanna” she does this shxt 4 attention….and its not cute at all… she’s no fashion icon either…. her stylist yes 4sure…send me # asap…but rihanna is jus the model to some1 else’s style…. she’s a mold of some1 else’s thoughts, & talent….smh…. im threw. . .. ..
