Rihanna and Monica both have impeccable stylists, witnessed by their choice of the same Spring 2009 Marc Jacobs jacket:
Rihanna wore hers (sans belt) with ripped jeans for a night on the town, while Monica kept the belt on to shoot the video for her song Trust (featuring Keyshia Cole).
It’s a lovely jacket, I kind of prefer it with the belt.

Not sure how I feel about the Keyshia & Monica song. Also, I like Monica in the jacket better. I am over Rihanna and I’m ready for her to go sit down somewhere.

I do not think that either diva killed it because honestly, the jacket is not alll of that. However to choose one, I would have to vote for my girl Rihanna. I think the jacket looks better closed as Monica wears it but I would not wear this jacket over liquid pants. Rihanna just made it pop by her accersories and the bright red lipstick.

definitely rihanna. loved the ripped jeans and the hair in the face. all that with the red lipstick gave me a rebel look. monica: the belt made it look so conservative and elegant. i think it was designed for just the opposite. rihanna wins. xoxo

I atually think Monica rocked it, because she isn’t as casual about something expensive as it looks Rihanna is. She wears it with a leather (I guess) pants and matching shoes. I understand why you would want to have something not everyone wears in your video. But the Rihanna way, not my style if I had something that (probably very) expensive I would make sure people would know tight away.
PLus I really like Monica’s shoes in her first outfit, they are so high. I love me some high heels! ;)

MONICA WORE IT SO MUCH BETTER THAN RIHANNA!!! MONICA LOOKS MORE YOUTHFUL IN IT!!! I LOVED HOW MONICA WORE THE MARC JACOBS’ JACKET. SHE MADE IT COMPLETE WITH THE BELT. Rihanna looks like shit she doesnt look as nice as when she came out first. she lost her caribbean flavour I think my girl monica did a great job. Rihanna looks like she was working on the street and she found the jacket to wear even though i’m loving the jacket hate the red lipstick riri needs to get back on track she is really losing herself..
