Rising fashion star Teairra Marie was spotted on the red carpet of Andre Merritt’s ASCAP Awards After-Party in a cute white short suit set off by Louis Vuitton accessories:
All looks splashy until you catch a glimpse of her lacy neon bra, which coordinates quite nicely with her sandals and bracelets.
Sometimes you can’t help showing just a peek of a bra–with wrap dresses I always struggle to keep all concealed. But setting out to coordinate undergarments with outer garments seems a little tacky! It’s possible to look sexy without putting it all out there–there’s no need to show off all your goodies!
But what do you think? Is it cool as long as it’s tasteful? Or is it just a huge no-no?

OMG!!! I AM SOOOOOOOO GUILTY OF THE SAME CRIME. BUT WHENEVER I LOOK BACK AT THE PHOTOS THEY ALWAYS SEEM SO TRASHY SO I HAVE DECIDED NEVER TO TAKE THAT ROUTE EVER AGAIN! I SHOULD TOTALLY DO A POST ON THIS ON MY BLOG. LOL

Yes, it can look really great – eg, if you have a large bust, it’s flattering to wear a bra in the same colour as your dress and have a bit showing than to struggle with a strapless bra.

I don’t think it’s always tacky. I definitely think it depends. I think the way Teairra did it is fine (though maybe it would’ve been better if she had showed a little less of the bra), but Kim’s not so much. To me, if the bra is showing, you shouldn’t be able to see where it connects in the middle.

It’s cute done Carrie Bradshaw style if you’re a member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee. But if you’re a C cup or bigger, it can ten to look too sexy. Less is more.

I was wondering when this outfit was gonna get posted…I like the bracelet but not the bra. I agree it is very tacky. It’s called undergarments for a reason folks. It doesn’t matter how pretty the bra is!!!

I LOVE matching my undergarments to my outfits, but just for me. I don’t think bras should be shown, I can’t remember ever seeing it look good.

Teairra could have worn a neon green scoop neck tank top and still looked cute, but she trashed it up with the bra. You should always at least wear a shirt when you go outside.

I agree with Danielle. If your bra is showing because your boobs are too big for your top – that’s NOT hot. But if you’re doing it for style and have a cute little frame then it can be cute. Just know what looks good on you ladies!

I have worn this look before, but it was when i was younger and didnt know better. in my opinion it does give the outfit a trashy look. she has plenty of leg out, that’s enough. she could have certainly worn a low cut blouse that would have maintained a classier look with this outfit..so boo.

Me personally i think a bra is an undergarment that should be kept hidden beneath clothes. but if you do decide to rock it, please let it be done in a tasteful manner. cause nothing is more worst than a girl showing TOO much!!

I have done this look and I also have several corsets; that being said this is the rule I always followed….I never show legs and cleveage.

It can be fun and cheeky if done tastefully.
Word to the wise just because your under garment is showing doesn’t mean YOU have to be showing.

I think Teairra looks very cute. She’s young and sexy. This outfit does not scream trashy to me– as it is more so in the way you carry yourself. You can tell she put a lot of thought into this outfit, though. Very cute!
