• 10 Fashion Insiders to Follow on Twitter

Ah Twitter, how we love thee!
Where else can we find a 24-hour stream of consciousness from our favorite friends and celebrities?

With hundreds of tweets and thousands of thoughts in Twitterville, it’s hard to know who to follow for the inside fashionable scoop. So we at the Fashion Bomb did a little legwork and filtered out the best chic feeds. André, Rachel, June, OH MY!

Read on for our picks for the Top 10 fashion insiders to follow on Twitter:
    In no particular order…
    1. André Leon Talley (@officialalt):

The godfather of style gives fashion dish on a daily basis, doling out advice, offering opinions, and talking to his Twitter BFFs, Diane von Furstenberg (@insideDVF) and Tyra Banks (@TyraBanks). Though we love the beautiful pictures he paints of his surroundings, “The view from my windows at Chateau Marmot…that kind of special moment one reads about,” and his two cents on fashion, “Venus Williams’ lace tennis outfit has caused a stir in Paris. She looks incredible in her lace, and why not wear lace at work!” we most appreciate his nuggets of wisdom. To wit:  “Today is the first day of your new life. Live and don’t be undermined by people who try to make you feel small. So many will. Stand Tall,” and “NEVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAM. GO TO SCHOOL, WRITE AND READ ALL YOU CAN, ESPECIALLY ALL THE GREAT FASHION BOOKS.” Amen André!

    2. Tyra Banks (@tyrabanks):

Of course our favorite schmizer is on Twitter, chatting ferociously with her 1,700,000 (and counting) followers. Follow her for the all the Top Model scoop (right now, she’s filming ANTM cycle 15 in Italy with Italian Vogue). Work!

    3. Rachel Roy (@Rachel_Roy):

Gorgeous designer Rachel Roy should be dubbed the twitpic queen! Check out her feed for snapshots from photo shoots, exclusives on new items, and even glimpses of her cute daughter, Ava Dash, dressed in head to toe Rachel Rachel Roy.

    4. Bonnie Morrison (@fiercegrandma ):

Uber publicist Bonnie Morrison doesn’t tweet much, but her Judge Mathis profile background and bio that simply reads, ‘Here comes the Judge,” speak volumes about her fun personality.

    5. Melody Ehsani (@melodyehsani):

This creator of hip-hop’s most beloved accessories seems to have quite a philosophical edge. The other day, she revealed “Listening to Oxford professor lecture on Nietzsche’s Philosophy of Mind while doing research for a new project with one of my fave rappers (love my life).” She offers lots of wisdom to her 9,000 followers. For example: “If the grass is greener on the other side, maybe that’s because you’re not taking good care of your grass.”

    6. Chanel Iman (@itsmechaneliman):

Chanel Iman keeps us posted on her latest ad campaigns, shows, and fashionable adventures. What’s new? She’s shooting an ad for an undisclosed perfume brand. She exclaims, “Shooting my first fragrance today SURPRISE and so excited I want it to come out tomorrow but we all have to wait !!!” OK!!!!

    7. Bevy Smith (@bevysmith):

    bevy smith twitter

The former Fashion Editor-at-Large of Vibe Magazine and brilliant mind behind the Dinners with Bevy enterprise is always in the mix at the hottest events in New York. Follow her for live tweets of ABC’s the View, event twitpics (she attended Target’s East Harlem Opening), and even snaps of her vintage shopping.

    8. JC Report (@jcreportglobal)

Jason Campbell, creator of The JCReport, has his fingers on the pulse of all that’s hip–globally. Instead of just focusing on typical chic scenes in Paris, London, Milan, and New York, he zips off to Sao Paolo, Japan, and more, interviewing trendsetters at each step (like moi-ha! Check out my interview with him here:)

    9. Tracy Reese (@Tracy_Reese)

Love a Tracy Reese frock? Well the T Reese feed is the place to find out about sales, deals, and who’s been spotted wearing one of the Detroit native’s creations. Tracy keeps her personal revelations to herself, though at times she does give us a peek into her life. Recently, she said, “It’s been a busy week of sketching and now it’s time for a relaxing weekend!”

    10. June Ambrose (@juneambrose):

Piping haute chai tea!! Arguably the most loquacious on this list, stylist June Ambrose takes her 98,500 followers shopping with her, posting her latest outfits paparazzi style with details on where she purchased each piece..down to her Ruby Woo Mac lipstick.

Do you guys have any to add?
